Thirty eight black Republicans running for national office the most under reported story of the 2010 political season

In what is without a doubt the most under reported story of the 2010 political season it seems that there are no less than 38 black Republicans running for national office. That's right 38-three for Congress thirty five for the House-how is it that the "Old Media" has missed this? Then again how is it that the "New Media" hasn't picked up on this?

This blogger has to admit he missed it himself. If not for the Laura Ingraham Show-and her guest today Michael Steele-this blogger would have been clueless! In fact Steele made a statement in June concerning the historic amount of black Americans running for office this year on the federal, state, and local level...(click here for the full list).

This is amazing! The Republican party historically was the party of black Americans until the 30's when somehow the party of slavery-the Democrats-managed somehow to win them over to their side. What followed is a sad story of liberal philosophy and theories almost singlehandedly destroying the fabric of the American black social community. In fact through the endless entitlement mentality of the Democrats black Americans-as well as a multitude of other races-have been enslaved by dependency on the all-mighty government!

Hoorah! for these great Americans of color who have rejected the victim mentality of the Marxist Progressives-regressives actually- and have taken a stand for freedom, individual liberty, and the founding principles of this nation!

These are truly historic times that we are living in. It is clear that the people of this nation have had enough and after-the only poll that counts in- November the political discourse in Washington is quite likely going to change radically. We have the chance to have a whole new class of citizen legislators going to Washington and when they arrive-the professional political elite of- both parties are going to have a rude awakening as  these new representatives of the people make their mark!

The American people are a long suffering people-however-they will not tolerate abuses endlessly. The pols in Washington have awakened a sleeping giant and they are going to learn a valuable lesson in democracy from none other than "We the people"

Yes "We the people" red, black, yellow, white, what have you are rising up and taking OUR government back!

Long live freedom, long live democracy and long live the United States of America!!

Thank you so much for this information!! It thrills my heart to see ANYONE get free of the matrix. Ha. So many people across America are waking up for the first time in decades and I see them finding one another on the internet. Again, I am thrilled! I'm going to repost this on my facebook page so all my friends can see it too.

I follow politics very closely, and even I didn't know this. Thanks for the story. I'm sharing on my Facebook page.

This is indeed exciting news! I only have one issue and that is your last comment...'long live democracy'. While I have no problem with democracy, per se, we are, and always have been a 'Constitutional Republic', not a democracy. It is a very important difference, and one that the politicians in Washington seem determined to ignore. Our Founding Fathers took great pains to avoid the word democracy in the Constitution, as it is rule by majority, and they knew (as is evident in the last presidential election) that the majority can be quite stupid, and that the downfall of the Roman republic was when they morphed into a democracy, with the greed and avarice that accompanies power. It is instead the aforementioned Constitutional Republic: rule by LAW based on our CONSTITUTION! Let's hope the new members of Congress are more statesmen and patriots than politicians! LONG LIVE FREEDOM, LONG LIVE OUR REPUBLIC, AND LONG LIVE TH UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

I will appreciate that people specially blogger who have the power to bring people together with their vision, use the right name to what this Nation is, so we can actually start making difference starting on ourselves... this is NOT a democrat Country, in fact, the Founders dislike the idea so much, that they make sure when they talk about this Country they said The Republic, when the woman ask to one of the founders, the respond was " Mam' I give you a Republic if you can keep it" It's WE THE PEOPLE because WE'RE REPUBLIC, other wise will be them, government, that is what democracy bring to us.

Thank you! God Bless FREEDOM and these Republic of USA with Her true Patriots.

The House of Representatives is part of Congress.

About "democracy" as opposed to "Republic". Point well taken we are indeed a "democratic republic" with the empasis on "republic"

Thanks for the input. As to the House being a part of congress. It indeed is.

I should have used the terms Senate and House. Thanks to Anonymous for pointing that out

Thanks to those who shared on Facebook.

Well we are actually supposed to be a Representative Republic, however the two parties have turned it more into a Democratic Republic...

They are more concerned with their parties then with what they are supposed to be doing, representing the people that sent them to Washington as their voice to the Federal Govt by their districts and states.

This is why the Tea Party has taken such a strong foothold, because the people are sick of the two party bickering, tired of their voices being squelched and tired most importantly of the one party that is supposed to represent the Conservatives of this country going so off track that it is less the Republican party and more of the Democrat-Lite party.

This year, that comes to an end.

David Barton (wallbuilders.com) speaks about the brilliant, self-educated, former slaves, who became State and US legislators shortly after the Civil War.

From his description, it is embarrasing that I cannot speak with the power and eloquence of those great and nearly forgotten people.

Amazing how far BACK the DemonicRats have dragged America via "our" "education" system.

Seems the only group which has not entered the "Post-Racial" times, is Obama and his slithering pile of Progressives.

They remind me of Donald Sutherland in the 1970s movie "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", the scene where [alien Sutherland] points at its' wife and screeches. Yeah, they're like that...

Regarding the WHAT this Nation is: The State governments are populated in more of democratic nature. We elect both houses and the governor, also judges, attorneys general and other offices (varies by State.)

The Federal Govt is a Constitutional Republic. We the People only democratically elect U.S. Representatives (and unfortunately U.S. Senators because of the 17th Amendment.) POTUS, SCOTUS and ALL other offices, are not directly elected by We the People.

Why do I say "unfortunately" regarding the U.S. Senators? Because the Senate was intended to represent the States and Progressives hate the sovereignty of the States (ask Gov.Brewer, AZ.) The Progressives also hate the sovereignty of We the People.

We the People were to be represented by the U.S. House. POTUS was elected by the Electoral College (by citizens of extreme integrity). The U.S. Supreme Court is to act as the voice of the Constitution, in determining cases between the States and / or Federal govt and / or We the People (the latter, when the County, State and lower courts have failed to reach an acceptable decision.)

The Constitution of the USA is the Supreme Law of the Land. The Federal government is not.

That's my [twisted?] view of the way it should be.

More excellent points by Anoymous!

THe founders were indeed worried about the "spirit of party" infecting the Constitutional system. The people are most certainly sick of what they have been seeing and hearing from Washington.

THe repubs do look an aweful lot like "Democrat lite.

As to Mr.Brodheads observations, they are quite astute. The senate was to be picked by the States, and the Democrats are truly the party of regression. They seek to enslave us all and turn us into vassels while they-a small handfull of their elites-lord it over the rest of us.

Thanks to all for their input.

Who cares what race they are? The important question is: Are they genuine conservatives? An R after someone's name means nothing.

Wow! Just took a tour of http://www.truth-out.org/

GAK! I need another shower! Bunch of Proggys gathered around in their rubber room, railing against everything slightly Conservative.

Reason I'm mentioning this: I could FEEL THE difference in my brain, bewteen exposure to that site and this one!

Thank you for the experience!

So maybe it is a little naive, but darned if I don't feel excited about this election! And darned if I don't feel a little scared, too, about the consequences if we CAN'T turn this country back around...

FYI, I just finished reading a new one-off magazine called “Can Conservatives Unite to take Back America” – it was a surprisingly good read – practically an play-by-play program for the current House and Senate election races – I plan to use it to track election night results ;) As is typical these days, it was waaaay in the back - cos you know, a topical, conservatively political magazine is supposed to be waaaay out of reach...
