Irony, OBama, and North Korea

"The next president won't have time to get used to the office. We face many challenges here at home and many enemies abroad in this dangerous world," McCain said. "We don't want a president who invites 'testing' from the world at a time when our economy is in crisis and Americans are already fighting two wars

"The U.S. military is preparing for a possible intercept of a North Korean flagged ship suspected of proliferating weapons material in violation of a U.N. Security Council resolution passed last Friday" Fox News. Friday June, 19, 2009.

Is America on the brink of war with North Korea? No one can say for sure, but, things don't look good. Over the past weeks, our young President, has indeed been getting quite a test from the Dictator of North Korea.

Now in the latest chapter in this ongoing saga, a North Korean freighter, "The Kang Nam", is suspected of transporting material that has been banned by U.N. resolution. That's rich, that the U.N. could be resolute, about anything, seems almost a contradiction in terms.

Apparently, according to Fox News, the ship appears to be heading to Singapore, and may well be carrying "weaponry, missile parts or nuclear materials, a violation of U.N. Resolution 1874".

It seems, Kim Ill is spoiling for a fight. First was the announcement that he would restart his nuclear reactor. Then we learned he had detonated a nuclear device, and if that wasn't bad enough, he starts shooting off missiles, like a kid , with bottle rockets on the Fourth of July. Come to think of it that's when, it is speculated, he may shoot a missile toward Hawaii.

During the election, Joe Biden's statement, about the "Young President" being tested, stirred quite a controversy. I find it Ironic, that now that our President, is indeed being tested by North Korea, the Navy decides to send the U.S.S John S. McCain, in to do the job. Perhaps if, former Vietnam war veteran, and prisoner of war, John McCain, had been elected, we might not have found ourselves in this situation.
