It's Time To Tell Barack Obama To Listen to The Generals

Remember when George Bush was President and all one could hear from the Liberal Democrats was that George Bush should "listen to the generals on the ground"? Now however their silence is deafening in the face of President Obama's glaring indecision on what to do in Afghanistan.

Yes in the Bush era it was imperative that Bush listen to what his professional military commanders were asking for until General Petraus asked for a troop surge. Then OMG! Petraeus became Betrayus.

Obama has been asked by the ranking general on the ground in Afghanistan-General McChrystal-to send in several thousand more troops to fight a resurgent Taliban.

But what does the anointed one do? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! While Barack outdoes Jimmy Carter in the art of vacillation more of our American soldiers die for lack of reinforcements. Where is the liberal concern for the lives of our fighting men and women now? What happened to the Cindy Sheehans and the like?

Where is Harry-The War Is Lost -Reid. Calling for an immediate withdrawal of troops?

Today our soldiers are in need of our support. General McChrystal should be given the resources he needs to fight this war ,and, he should receive them immediately.

The great One went to great pains when he was running for President to draw parallels between himself and Abe Lincoln. Lincoln picked his Generals and delegated to them the authority to prosecute the war. If the general didn't get the job done he was replaced.

Lincoln did not try to tell his commanders how to fight all he requested was that they actually fight, and, fight to win!

It's well past time to tell Barack Obama to listen to his Generals. We need to fight to win in Afghanistan or get the hell out!

Post offices being closed, regulation on housing, and changes in trash collection may seem like small things,but, all large problems start small. In a short time our President will be heading to the G 20 Summit. There it is quite likely he will sign a global warming treaty that will provide for a world government,transfer of wealth from the developed nations to the less developed nations, as well as a structure to ensure that rules, laws, and regulations passed by this unelected world government can be enforced.

White House reacting to media criticism in a manner similar to Hugo Chavez



How are Anita Dunn and Hugo Chavez similar? Obviously it isn't that Dunn is a man or an actual dictator. What makes theses two similar is their shared paranoia of a free press that can criticize what they do!

Fox News reported in March this chilling statement of Hugo Chavez... " Chavez said that "if it weren't for the attack, the lies, manipulation and the exaggeration" of the private media networks, the Venezuelan government would have the support of at least 80 percent of the population".

Ms. Dunn and the White House have accused Fox News of spreading lies and distortions.

"In recent weeks, the White House has begun using its government blog to directly attack what it called "Fox lies."

This is a sign of insecurity on the part of the White House. Chavez likewise is insecure and rightfully so. He has corrupted Venezuelan democracy.

Liberals in general and the Democrats in particular do not really like free speech. Their idea of free speech is no restrictions for liberal opinion, but if you have a conservative opinion, you are suspect and need to be watched, regulated, or shut down.

Rush Limbaugh's recent trouble with the NFL is proof of this point. Limbaugh was blackballed, by the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, because of his conservative beliefs. However they didn't attack him directly on that point, no, instead they characterized him as a racist, and with the assistance of lies and distortions in the liberal media, a new kind of "McCarthyism" shut him out of his bid for the Rams.

Likewise Ms. Dunn and the White House seek to demonize and marginalize Fox by making accusations of lies and distortions-similar language by the way as Chavez used- in order to -in my opinion-silence criticism by Fox News.

No liberals don't like true free speech. It is my opinion that liberals, Democrats, and the current gang in the White House have more in common with Hugo Chavez than with the American people who clearly have found Fox News to be a very credible source for news.

They truly are reacting to criticism in a manner similar to Hugo Chavez.

Health Care Cooperatives The Only Thing Acceptable in Baucus bill

Well the much awaited Baucus Bill has finally emerged from committee and is probably dead on arrival. This turkey is nothing but a lot of taxes,regulations, and pork. There is however one part of the proposal that-I believe- has merit, the health care cooperative provision.

Other conservatives have claimed that Health Care Cooperatives are a backdoor way of bringing in a public option but I'm not so sure. I am a member of a rural electric cooperative and it is independent of the government and owned by it's members. I am even payed a dividend by my cooperative at the end of the year.

Many try to use REC's as a poster child for not having HCC's. They make false arguments such as REC's are government subsidized. This is not true. Granted they receive tax breaks and low interest loans, but invester owned utilities get tax breaks from the government as well. In fact most investor owned utilities gather money from consumers to pay federal taxes that these utilities often times are not required to pay to the government however they still get to keep the money. In fact the dollars they collect to cover taxes they never pay is around 60Billion per year. This eclipses the estimated amount of loans and grantes REC's receive which is around 83 million dollars.

Electric cooperatives provide energy at lower prices than Investor owned utilities and do so while providing better service. And in case you're wondering no I don't work for the cooperatives

If we can achieve the level of success with health care cooperatives, that we have with electric cooperatives, then HCC's may well be an important component to real heath care reform.

The way I see it instead of being something to fear they may well be something worth trying. Hey if they don't work they won't survive.

Fair Tax Jack or It's Time for real Tax reform

I picked this cartoon up from another blog I am a follower of "Northern Boone County FairTax".


In case you don't know what the Fair Tax is it is plan to replace our current-and horribly broken- income tax law with a national consumption tax. I can almost hear readers saying "I pay too much sales tax now"!


Well my response is typical of many. I wish there were an alternative to taxes but so-far in human history no one has figured out a way to run a government without them. So what can we do to make it as painless, if you will, as possible.


This is where the Fair Tax comes in. The beauty of this form of raising revenue is that-unlike the current system- it does not punish hard work and achievement.


How does our current system punish hard work and achievement? Well it penalizes hourly workers for working hard. People who earn an hourly wage are in effect punished for working overtime by being forced into a higher tax bracket where-if you work too many hours- you can actually end up with less take home pay than working a straight week.


Entrepreneurs, companies, and innovators are penalized by the current system for ,in essence. being successful.


The FairTax ,on the other,hand lets companies, hourly workers,and those who bring innovation to the marketplace to keep all they earn and only pay taxes on what they buy.


Everybody has more money and can therefore better afford consumer goods, or factory expansions, or whatever the case amy be. Having fun inciting libs at liberal blog Wonkette



Over the weekend I noticed a link in the search engines about Chip Reid and the Nobel prize not being awarded to Ronald Reagan and it linked to Wonkette. Now having never visited that blog I decided what the heck I'll go on over and check it out.


Upon landing I saw there was a video of C.B.S. reporter Chip Reid giving WhiteHouse press secretary Robert Gibbs a hard time about why Reagan never received a Nobel prize.


After viewing the video I scanned the comments and decide to post a comment and sign it using the name of this blog so all the libs could visit this site and be offended. I was a little unprepared for the reaction of some of my fellow posters. However I shouldn't have been surprised because I know that they always attack first then demonize and attempt to marginalize any one with a viewpoint other than there own.

"I too am wondering why Reagan never got a Peace prize. Reagan strengthened the defenses of America and her allies in a period when the Russians had become quite aggressive. I lived through that time and believe me the old Soviet Union was SCARY. Reagan believed-and so do I -that true peace is accomplished only by strength.His policies quite likely helped prevent a war between East and West. As a result of his resolve the Russians were bankrupted trying to out do us and the people of Russia began to demand change so much that the Old Soviets had to liberalize. A man who deserved the Nobel Prize, Ronald Wilson Reagan

The Nobel Peace Prize for some reason -I've never figured out- is a highly coveted prize in the circle of the world's movers and shakers. Today this prize was awarded to our President Barack Obama. I congratulate him and hope that he can live up to the expectations of those who have awarded him this prize. It is my earnest prayer that Mr. Obama can indeed achieve peace and security for this country.

That being said it is worth the time to take a look at the recent history of this award. There have been many recipients of this award but there are a few from recent times that deserve a second look.

It's notable to find that there has not been a single Republican awarded this prize since 1973. That year's recipient was Henry Kissinger. And yet since this time such luminaries as Jimmy Carter, Yasser Arafat, and Al Gore have received the prize. Now the ONE Barack Obama has received tribute from the Nobel Committee.

This begs the question what did Al Gore, Jimmy Carter and Yasser Arafat, not to mention Barack, do to deserve it. Turns out the answer is not much. Carter made a fool of himself against Iran. Arafat was a murdering terrorist and Al Gore contributed to global warming just by opening his mouth and letting out so much hot air!

The real topper though is that even Mikhail Gorbachev received the Nobel Peace Prize!!. Why for finally listening to Ronald Wilson Reagan and tearing down the Berlin wall?

If anyone in the last forty years deserved this award it is Ronald Reagan. As a result of his presidency confidence was restored in America. Because of his policy of peace through strength war was averted, and, most notable of all Reagan, won the cold war for the free world.

If the Nobel committee had any sense Ronald Wilson Reagan would have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize long ago!!!

If Canada can have budget surpluses why can't we?

That's right if the Canadians can balance their budget and actually run surpluses why in the world can't we? As I was scouring the Internet looking for post ideas I ran across a couple of articles that had me rubbing my eyes when I first read them. One was from Bloomberg.com and carried the title "Obama Raises 2010 Deficit Estimate to $1.5 Trillion". The second was on a site called Kuro5hin.

Kuro had this to say"...the Wall Street Journal shocked Canadians by declaring their country an honorary member of the Third World. ... Canada's debt at the time was 68.4 per cent of its gross domestic product. Thirty-five per cent of federal revenues were drained by interest payments on the debt. The deficit that year was $30 billion. I wondered gee if Canada can come to grips with that kind of situation why do we continuously have budget short falls?

Next I wondered what our current debt is as a percentage of G.D.P I found the answer in the Bloomberg article. Bloomberg said "...The CBO estimates the budget deficit will total $1.6 trillion this year, or 11.2 percent of the GDP, and $1.4 trillion in 2010".

At this point I said well here's my post for today! If the Canadians can take deficits that amounted to almost 70% of their gdp what in the heck is wrong in this country. The article from Kuro5hin said that after being lumped in with the third world by the Wall Street Journal that pressure became intense for politicians to do something and get it done quick. The result was that they cut spending and increased revenue.

That kind of action is never popular liberals decry the inevitable cuts in social programs and conservatives bellyache about raising taxes, but, at the end of the day, they balanced their budgets and ran surpluses for 10 years! Yeah 10 years! People it's time we DEMAND that the jokers in congress get serious about cutting cost and increasing revenue where necessary. Our country simply cannot stand-and I think cannot survive-the present rate of out of control spending!

If the Canadians can have budget surpluses why can't we?

AP says health care support up but Zogby say's not so quick



It's all over the wires concerning Obamacare "the fever has broken". So is Obama care making a come back? Not really I checked out Zogby international and found some very interesting -albeit contrary- results.


AP is reporting the nation split 40-40 on the health care proposals currently floating around in Congress. Health Affairs -a health policy blog- reports that in a late September poll 27% supported what Congress and the President are trying to sell us while 59% opposed what is being outlined in Congress right now.


That sounds to me like Obama care doesn't stand a snowballs chance in hell of being enacted unless of course the Democrats use the so-called "nuclear option" to ram the crap their working on now down our throats.


AP in a poll done between Sept 3 and September 9 found that only 34% of those polled supported current health care legislation while an astounding 49% opposed it. In the same poll 42% said scrap whats being worked on now and start from scratch!


The truth is the American people by and large do not support what the President and the Democrats in Congress are pushing. The liberal media can try and cherry pick the numbers but the fact remains that -in it's current form- health care reform is in trouble.


The Associated Press also found in their September 3-8 poll that an overwhelming 79% of Americans believe that any bill that comes out of congress has got to be bi-partisan. Yep looks to me like Obama and his liberal friends have got their work cut out for them indeed, and, if they attempt the nuclear option they may well find that it blows up in their face!


The AP is reporting that the "fever has broken" on the terminally ill health care plan but if I could wager a bet I would say it is DOA!

This is news that should make any freedom loving American's blood run cold. We are now -whether we like it or not- going to be lorded over by a world organization that most Americans really know very little about.

Even as I am writing this article ABC News .Com is reporting " United States Calls for Rigorous IMF Surveillance"

According to the ABC news article Tim Geithner is calling for the IMF to oversee and monitor investment trends, potential new economic bubbles, and corporate and investment banking compensation!

Morris has hit upon something that all of us should be aware of, as well as ,concerned about. He is exactly right when he say's that the Declaration of Independence has been superceded. Everybody and any body in this country that loves freedom needs to call their Representative and Senator in Congress and demand that this be investigated.

Keep your eyes on the television news I wager you'll hear very little about this in the mainstream media. Especially what the full impact -of what is happening at the I.M.F- will be on America.

Wake up America we are dangerously close to becoming SUBJECTS of a world government rather than free citizens of the greatest nation on Earth! Call me a nut but I think there is a subversive element in this country -as well as the World- that is seeking the destruction of our country and our freedoms and that they are working in concert to achieve their goals.

Investigate, learn and be informed these are some weird times and things are happening and being said by the leaders of this country that boggle the mind.

James Carville. One of those folks that you love to hate. Carville is a typical liberal in that he is a master at putting his foot in his mouth. Well o'l Jim really stepped in it this time here he is calling Glenn Beck crazy, saying Beck doesn't know what he's talking about, then this idiocy rolls out of his mouth. James Carville probably inspired Beck to write Arguing with Idiots.

If that wasn't enough, the beginning of the interview,this guy at CNN says He THINKS Beck works at Fox! Give me a break this guy works for CNN, Becks ex-employer and isn't sure who Beck works for!! These guys should take this comedy act on the road.

How classy is Mary Matalin? I guess these two are proof positive that opposites attract. The look on Madlin's face when Carville exposes his nuttiness is priceless.

I don't know about you but I could watch these two for hours.

Mike Huckabee on Fox News Talking up the FairTax

When Dwight Eisenhower was running for President I Like Ike buttons became quite popular. Well I'm looking forward to the next Presidential election-and hoping that if Huckabee gets the nomination- wearing an I like Mike button on my lapel.

Democratic Health Care Plan If you get sick we'll make sure you die.





Lately all that you can get on television is stories-usually skewed to favor the democrats- about the so-called health reform working it's way through Congress.

Last week there was a huge dust up over Democrats claiming that the only plan the Republicans had was "If you get sick die quick".

Nothing could be further from the truth. Several Republican members of Congress have proposed excellent plans to help fix the problems we have with health care. The problem for the democrats is that the Republican plans don't enlarge governments role in your life as much as they would like. They see us as a bunch of ignorant children and they believe we are incapable of deciding what is best for us.

A better, more accurate saying would be if the Dems have their way it will be "If you get sick we'll make sure you die! If this socialized medicine mess goes through- as much as the Dems protest to the contrary- the government will begin encouraging- and eventually mandate that people go off and die.

Prominent liberals in England-a country with commie medicine-have already said that it is the patriotic duty of sick old people to get the hell out of the way and die. That's not a direct quote but it catches the spirit of what was said.

If government takes over the health care system it will be in their best interest to encourage-or even mandate- death. Just think we could solve the Social Security problem by just cutting off the meds to old people. Whoops -wait a minute- the proposed Senate Finance bill already does that.

We may have problems with the health care system but they pale in comparison to what an out of control power hungry government could do. Sometimes the best course of action is to leave well enough alone and if all we are going to get is this garbage the Democrats are peddling I say leave well enough alone.

A post or two back I wrote about my experiance blogging on Today's Politics By Freedomlover. In that post I related how I was considering switching to Word Press! Well Ive done it!

Today's Politics By Freedomlover is now just "Another Word Press Blog!! I'm going to continue maintaining and posting on this site and then transferring them to Word Press.

Can't say what the future holds but I feel this is a new beginning, and I'm excited about it. To those who follow my blog along with the good folks at CBC or Conservative Blogs Central. I'll be working on blog rolling you at the new site. If you would please blogroll my new address on your blog that would be greatly appreciated.

Miss George Bush Yet Darn Straight I do



I got this idea from The Jimmy Z Show radio blog the other day. He had a picture of George bush waving with the caption "Do ya miss me yet?"


My immediate reaction was darn straight I do. Now I know that it has become quite fashionable-and in Republican circles almost mandatory- to bash Bush. But George Bush was a good President. On Sept 11,2001 he faced the terrorists head on and at the twin towers the next day he showed grit and determination in the face of the enemy when he proclaimed "I can hear you. The rest of the world hears you. And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon".


I watched that live on television and at that moment I could not have been prouder to be an American and to have George Bush as president. I know his presidency had flaws. He could have done more to stand up to excessive spending by congress. He could have put more pressure on the republicans in congress to get behind, and pass, his Social Security reforms. But these things pale in comparison to the single greatest responsibility this president had. The protection of the American people.


Resolute and determined that is the quality in Bush I most admire. Consider these words from the speech he delivered to Congress shortly after this tragedy that changed the course of this nations history forever. "We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail"


That is true leadership. He set his mind to carry forth the task of fighting the terrorists and never looked back. Even in the face of mounting criticism and opposition from the Democrats and even some in his own party George Bush never tired, never faltered, and never failed in his quest to keep this country safe. I think he succeeded because during his entire time in office we were never attacked. And don't think the terrorists didn't try.


Fast forward to our present time. We have the news chock full of the arrest of some suspected terrorist who were hell bent to celebrate Sept 11 by killing as many Americans as they could. Why? because they perceived that America, under Barack Obama, had gone soft and irresolute in the fight against their monstrous brand of evil. Bush said this on Sept.7,2003 "We have learned that terrorist attacks are not caused by the use of strength,they are invited by a perception of weakness.


We are under the greatest threat of a terror strike perhaps unequaled since Sept 11. For the last few years comments such as "The war is lost" and likening our soldiers to stormtroopers created a perception of weakness in the eyes of our enemies. Since Bush has left office all the tyrants in the world-as well as all our enemies-have been emboldened by the idea that Obama and the Democrats are weak.


So once again I ask you the same rhetorical question. Miss George bush yet. Darn straight I do!

And darned good advice it was. Especially in light of this alarming video showing Congressman Mike Rodgers explaining what Obama care actually means to real people in the real world.

The thing that floored me the most is that Mr. Rodgers points out provisions in the bill that would actually allow the government to "dis enroll you and your employer" from the plan you currently enjoy! This is frightening!

All the liberal talking heads as well as politicians are scratching their collective heads trying to figure out what is scaring the daylights out of the protesters,townhallers and teaparty'ers.

They claim it is a manifestation of lingering racism in this country. They can't understand that people feel that government interference and control of their lives is getting out of control.

The liberals at large and in government can't understand that as Congressman Rodgers puts it

..."we're going to raise you're energy costs, we're going to tell you what kind of car to drive,we're going to tell you what kind of bulb to put in, and what kind of window to put in your house, and oh by the way we're going to pick you're doctor and health care plan for you."

They can't understand that government interference doesn't set well with people who are more and more inclined to the sentiment of just leave me the hell alone!

Ask not what your country can do for you very good advice indeed!

Unfortunate circumstance forces blog to return to old url



Scary Picture. This is why mostly I blog and don't do the U Tube thing. Approximately 6 months and almost 100 or possibly more posts I find myself in just about the same place I was then.

Let me explain, the title of this post alludes to the fact that I have switched back to http://todayspoliticsfreedomlover.blogspot.com/

Awhile back I purchased a custom domain for a small sum and switched my URL to http://todayspoliticsbyfreedomlover.net/

Why you may ask did I do that! Just crazy I guess. I had read on some blogger pages that having a custom domain could raise the visibility of my site.

NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!!!!! Sorry for raising the volume but prior to changing to the .net clicks to my site were steadily increasing.

Then I advertised my blog and clicks really took off at the highest point my site was getting 45 to 50 hits a day. Not a whole lot, but,my stats were trending upward at a healthy rate. So I said I'll switch to a custom domain.

Big mistake. It was a mistake because if you switch domains blogger will restrict their robot from reading the posts on your site. Therefore you will not show up on google searches or any other search service.

Not long ago through some simple searches I could find many of my articles. Today I checked and I could only find any results by searching the exact name of this blog. What results I did get showed only the name of my blog with a blurb beneath about Today's Politics By Freedom lover privacy policy.

So I have switched back to my original URL. I am hoping this will remove the restriction ,but,I don't know. I fear it won't. At this point my blog is dead. The only way I can get any hits is to post my blog on sites that allow that. No clicks from google searches etc. etc.

I suspect that I will still be restricted. If you follow this blog it is more than likely that I will be going over to Wordpress. I don't think I'll have too much to lose.

If this happens the name of this blog may change-hopefully for the better-so stay tuned and look for any changes that may occur. At this point six months work is mostly gone and I will have to start over again.

Bottom line if you start a blog on Blogger start it WITH a custom domain otherwise if you try to switch later take my word for it, it will KILL YOUR BLOG

I hope this keeps someone else avoid the pain that I am going through with my blog.

Obama,Wealthredistribution and The Second Bill of Rights

We cannot be content...if some fraction of our people—whether it be one-third or one-fifth or one-tenth—is ill-fed, ill-clothed, ill-housed, and insecure...This Republic had its beginning, and grew to its present strength, under the protection of certain inalienable political rights...these political rights proved inadequate to assure us equality in the pursuit of happiness.

These words from F.D.R's Jan.11,1944 state of the union address form the basis for the modern Democratic party's doctrine of economic and social equality otherwise known as "wealth redistribution".

Roosevelt contended that the fundamental political rights secured to us in the original Bill of Rights were inadequate to provide for the economic "right" of making a decent living,having a house,good medical care, and a good education. and proposed a "Second Bill of Rights"

No one can argue that these are goals that our nation should not strive for-but as Jesus said- "the poor will be with you always." F.D.R was wrong to assert the bill of rights did not provide for the rights to a job, home,health,education. I'm no legal scholar but the ninth amendment states...

"The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."

My opinion is that these right didn't need to be secured by a second bill of rights but are already secured to them by the ninth amendment and indeed the entire Bill of Rights. People have the right to determine the path of their own life, and make life decisions, that will affect the achievement of the goals set out by Roosevelt.

In the times when the Constitution was written there was much poverty, poor health care, and education was something individuals had to pay for, do themselve, or do without. If the founders had thought that people had a "right" to a job, house,car,health care, and education they would have written it into the Constitution. They created the best environment they could-and in fact it has been the best in the world-for achieving the aforementioned goals.

Enter Barack Obama. Barack and the Liberals in Congress seem to think there are fundamental flaws in the constitution that need to be remedied. Many on the left seek a "Second Bill of Right.

Others on the other hand seem to think the way to go-and in fact they've been doing it for years-is to achieve them in the courts. But they are stymied by what they see as a flaw "the restrictions placed on the courts by the Constitution"!

These restrictions are not a flaw, rather they are something to be celebrated. These restrictions -so far- have kept federal judges and justices from seizing individual wealth and property for the purposes of meeting the goals of the Second Bill of Rights.

In my opinion these goals can be achieved-but not their way-but through the private sector,individual responsibility, and good old fashioned hard work.

Barack we don't need wealth redistribution, socialism, or Marxist Ideology. We need only to get back to the principles and ethics that made this country great!

Finally A Politician That Gets It

It's been a very long time since we have had a truly free market form of capitalism in this country. Even before the great depression certain regulations and controls were already being placed on the free market system.


Then came the great depression and the Roosevelt administration. American capitalism has never been the same. The time period from the election of F.D.R until the the start of our involvement in WWII was marked by the greatest expansion of government power over the entire economic system in American history until the present time.


In essence we began traveling down the road to more and more socialism. At first it was a rather gradual descent but the incline steepened during the great society days of Lyndon Johnson. Under Nixon wage and price controls caused another steepening of this downward trend we were still traveling the socialist road.


Things remained about the same, and lead to an economy that increasingly was being drug down and weakened by excessive regulations and controls.


Then a great change came and Ronald Reagan was elected president. Under the greatest President of modern times some of this over regulation as-well as taxation-of the economy was rolled back and for 20 some years we experienced the greatest period of prosperity in world History.


But alas Mr. Reagan is no longer with us. No now we have a person who the left has tried to characterize as "Their Ronald Reagan". But our current president is definitely no Ronald Reagan. rather one could argue that he is the anti-Reagan.


Since the Socialistic Democratic take over of Congress, and the ascension of Barack Obama to the highest office in the land we have plunged headlong into socialism!


Mr. Klaus tells us the present crisis does not represent a failure of capitalism, but rather, a failure of government and of the doctrine of over regulation, taxation, and control.


In a speech today to the National Press club intitled "The Future of Eastern and Central Europe Mr. Klaus reveals another gem of wisdom"Markets cannot be constructed they must evolve".


I hope some of the Democrats were listening. In a free market system you cannot make a market for anything. Their first has to be a need or desire that is not being met, then someone has to figure a way to fill that niche and fulfill that need or desire.


But what is our government doing today. Trying to regulate, legislate, and create from a whole cloth an entirely new economy. They are not satisfied with trying to correct present problems -which by and large-are a result of too much government.


No,instead they think,we must have government become involved in every nook and cranny of our economy and society and form it into what they view as a more desirable system. Trouble is that system looks alarmingly like communism.


In the speech Mr. Klaus delivered today he said "Communism wasn't defeated...it melted down". In other words it crumbled under the weight of a bloated centralized government that sought to control every aspect of society.


This should serve as a cautionary tale to our leaders in Washington. Government control of society and the markets does not work and is inevitably bound to fail!


Toward the end of President Klaus address to the National press club he was asked if he would do anything to protect Czech society from market capitalism and his answer was an unequivicable NO! In stead he promised to do all he could to promote the growth and spread of free market capitalism in Czech society. This man is a true Democrat in the sense of being a strong defender of liberty and freedom.


Look this guy up and I think you will agree with me we need this freedomlover as our President!

Beating the Left at their own game



Nancy Pelosi created quite a stir with her comments about the tone of recent political discourse. She feigned controlled outrage over what liberals love to call "hate speech"

But what she was actually doing was throwing "red meat" to her base on the far left. During a report on Fox News Live desk Fri.Sept 18,2009 the commentator points out that the same day Nancy seemed so emotional her office sent out a letter asking supporters to contribute money "so no amount of Republican shouting" could stop what she is trying to accomplish in Congress.

I suspect that her outrage was really caused by the fact that earlier the Congress had pulled funding for Acorn. I believe she was outraged because free speech in a free society had caused the government to make a dramatic change in policy.

Pelosi and company had no problem with strident and militant protest by the left under George Bush. But-I believe-the true source of their frustration is that the right has taken a page from the lefts play book and is beating the tar out of them.


By their own admission the people who organized the March on Washington had indeed used formerly liberal tactics taken mainly from Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals".

The libs have long had experience with outspoken protest and radical and oft times extreme language. I can remember the protests of the sixties and early seventies and let me tell you even if the right is using left wing strategies their rhetoric is quite tame compared to some of the rhetoric in vogue at that time.

The S.D.S openly called for the overthrow of the "establishment",and, the Weathermen perpetrated actual terrorist acts against this country.

Now Ms. Pelosi is all bent out of shape because ordinary conservative citizens have expressed their views in often loud and boisterous ways. the difference though is conservatives have-as of yet-not employed violence. In fact this summers protests have been remarkably peaceful especially when contrasted with the protests when Bush was president

For years activists on the left have consistently made conservatives out to be Nazis and potential tyrants. Remember not so long ago some of the same lefties that have their panties in a wad now were claiming that the family values movement wanted to establish a theocracy.

No I suspect the reason the left and Pelosi have suddenly become so "patriotic" and outraged that we would dare question and stand up to this regime-as well as threatening to bring regime change-is that for once the right is beating them at their own game.
