Nancy Pelosi calls for "Scrutiny of every aspect of our lives.

When I first heard this quote I was blown away. What did the esteemed speaker of the house mean? Does Ms. Pelosi wish to use the almighty power of the government to subject us, the citizenry of the United States, to scrutiny? Are we to have our electric bills examined, our driving habits and pattern's analyzed?
I've been researching this, and so far have no definitive answers. It appears she may have been making an off the cuff remark when she said "Every aspect of our lives must be subjected to an inventory ... of how we are taking responsibility." However coming from a Senator who, seems to think, government power should know no limits, this is scary. In the same speech she also said "I do see this opportunity for climate change to be ... a game-changer," she said at Tsinghua. "It's a place where human rights — looking out for the needs of the poor in terms of climate change and healthy environment — are a human right."
Perhaps 'Human rights, and "social justice" will be the issue she, and other democrats, will push in order to justify this draconian intrusion into the every day lives of ordinary Americans. In light of the fact that, with her Democratic Majority in the House, as well as, Mr. Reids in the Senate, this country is effectively a one party state, statements like these are even more alarming. Some commentators even seem to think that environmental extremists see the Chinese system of government as a possible vehicle to realizing their far left environmentalist dreams

Time will eventually tell, this may just be a broad generalization of what she thinks every American should do, or it may be the first hint at an agenda that a lot of Americans will not like. We'll see what the future holds in store.
