The New York Daily News is reporting that Chuck Rangle tried to cut a plea deal with the House ethics committee but that GOP members but a quash on the deal.

What ya trying to hide Charlie? This,to me is like trying to plead the fifth, if you do it's like an automatic admission of wrong doing.

In my opinion its becoming clearer and clearer that Mr. Rangle has been up to no good. Rangle has had a lot of bad publicity of late-beginning in 2008- when he faced charges of failing to pay taxes, was charged with violating House rules by accepting gifts from corporate interests to living in rent stabilized apartments in New York city. Now o'l Chuck is crying that maybe, just ,maybe this could have all been swept under the rug except for the evil old GOP! Ha what the heck ever happened to draining the "swamp"? Whatever happened to the most "transparent and ethical" congress in history?

These liberal hypocrites are starting to make me sick. It's time for the "voters" to "drain the swamp"!! It's high time Pelosi,Reid,and Rangle-as well as any other dems of their ilk- to hit the road!!

Roy Blunt trounces Robin Carnahan in Missouri Primary.

Well it seems the results of Missouri's vote on Prop C has gotten conservatives excited, but, there is some other news from the "Show Me State" that also bodes ill for the Democratic Party com November.

According to the Missouri Secretary of State web site Roy Blunt -the Republican Candidate for U.S. Senate- garnered 409,798 votes compared to Carnahans 264,733 votes.

Blunt earned 70.9% of republican votes where as Carnahan had 83.8% of the Democratic vote. If one takes theses numbers and add them to the more than 70% percent vote that Prop C got then I would say the natives are very restless in Missouri. Matter of fact-it is my opinion- that Carnahan and -anyone or anything- connected to Obama, the Democratic party, and their socialistic liberal agenda is going to go down in flames come November.

The Democrats in congress thought that all the protests against-as Sarah Palin would say-their "Hopey changy thing" was just "AstroTurf" well Queen Nancy what do you think now?

In Missouri races for Us Reps. the Republican Candidate for Missouri District 2 got 71,424 votes compare to the Democrat candidates votes of 24,092 and it goes on and on.

If Missouri is-as the news media like to say-a "bell weather state- then I think come November conservatives could have control if not two houses then at least one house of Congress.

Hypocritical NAACP revisited

I like this photo-but- the NAACP hates it. they claim its a sign of Tea Party hared,racism, and bigotry!

It's all a part of their Campaign Against hate! They even have a new website, I hadn't seen, before that has a montage of ,tea party, pictures on it that they just have their panties in a wad about.

Well, I have one question for these hypocrites, where were you when the left was spewing so much, hate, vitriol, and threats of violence against George W. Bush!?

Compare that to the Cream of Nothing pic posted above and the lampoon of Obama seems pretty lame. I mean they were constantly likening Bush to a chimp, or Hitler, or I don't know what . I can't begin to name or describe some of the trash I saw displayed about Bush,let alone the death threats, heck Obama has had it pretty easy.

I have to admit that when I see the posters of Obama as the Joker I cring, or the pics of him looking like a pimp smoking a J, this sort of thing does a disservice to the Tea Party and Conservative cause!

That said I have not seen near the vitriol and out right hate projected against Obama that I have seen directed at Reagan, Bush Sr. or W.

Where you you -NAACP- when film directors were making films about the assassination of Bush-hoping and praying -someone would be inspired to take up a gun and do it?

Where were you when people were openly calling for his death, and others were publicly wishing Cheney would drop dead from a heart attack?

Where were you when McCain supporters were afraid to put McCain bumper stickers on their cars for fear of retribution from blacks. (My wife actually forbid me from putting one on our van fearing violence) where in the h--l were you?

Missouri Democratic Party all fired up over Joe The Plumber ad!

  In the waning days of the primary campaign in Missouri the Democratic party of Missouri is all fired up over a Joe the Plumber ad in support of Republican Senate candidate "Joe Perguson". I first learned of this story the "Prime Buzz" section of he KC Star online.





In a complaint filed with the FEC they allege that o'l Joe produced the ad with the help of a Missouri organization-ran by a conservative African American blogger-known by the name of "The Black Sphere". It also states that joe didn't identify who approved the ad_and further more -GASP- he didn't register himself as a "Political Committee".

What a crock of baloney. This is exactly what is so screwed up about so called "campaign finance reform". It is an horrendous infringement on the right to free speech.

The first amendment is all about political and religious speech. The framers of the Constitution intended that there be no limits on political speech or religious exercise, and yet, the campaign finance laws we have now can be used to stop someone like Joe the Plumber from expressing his support for a candidate he likes. This is just plain old wrong.

In the opinion of this blogger the only campaign finance laws there should be is disclosure in how much some one or organization gave. After that there should be no limits or restrictions. If one candidate has gotten all their money from one special interest or organization, and, another candidate has gotten their money from the grass roots, then let people decide in the free market of ideas who to support.

Don't get all fired up and try to use stupid laws  to silence those who oppose you!

What's the fuss over Arizona?Missouri has had a similar law since 2008

Evidently when it comes to laws to limit illegal immigrants-particularly those from Mexico- the Show me state really showed the way. Recently all the headlines have been about the controversial anti-immigrant law in Arizona.

Liberal politicians have been foaming at the mouth over it, the President has practically declared war on Arizona over it, and the liberal elitists in Holly Wood have boycotted it,but really ,what's all the fuss about?

Missouri passed a similar bill in 2008, aimed at cutting down on the number of illegals-read Mexicans-in Missouri and no one even noticed. Here's a quote from Missouri's bill...

"Law enforcement officers must inquire into the immigration status of any individual detained in a jail facility for a violation of state law. If the individual is found to be illegal, the officer shall cooperate with any request from federal authorities regarding detention and custody transfer"(click read the bill).

Here's my take on it. the Missouri bill was short, concise, and to the point,it wasn't a contentious issue before it was passed, and it the support of not only the people, but, both parties, and to cap it all off it became law without very much fanfare.

The same-unfortunately- cannot be said for the Arizona bill . In Arizona there seems to have been a rush to get any law passed-and understandably so-since the Federal government apparently didn't have any intention of providing security for the state.

Then during the debate several portions became quite controversial-causing it to become a lightning rod- thereby insuring that the MSM and the liberal elites would get involved and muck everything up with political correctness.

Well as the old saying goes the rest is history Arizona has now become a political circus, while, Missouri's law still goes largely unnoticed.

So to sum it all up "whats all the fuss about?" Arizona didn't take enough care in drafting their law, and most importantly the crazed Liberal Democrats got involved, along with their lackey's in the Liberal press, and have done nothing but turn something that should have been a local and state matter into total mayhem!

Because of the words- penned over 200 years ago-in this text people have been guaranteed freedoms that preceding generations only dreamed of.

We can pick our own leaders, hold them accountable, and demand they do OUR will. Not the other way around.
As a result of this Nation being formed, and this precious document being created freedom has not only blossemed in America, but has also began to spread around the world.

This country-guided by the principles set forth in the Constitution- has set entire peoples free from the strangle hold of tyrants and dictators time and time again.

The world has beaten a path to our door seeking the freedom,peace,prosperityand security that is afforded by The Constitution.

Alas today our Constitution is under attack like never before. It's time that We The People demand that our elected leaders return to the Constitution.If they refuse they must be turned out of office period.

John Kerry loves taxes for you and I but not for himself!

Well, well, well, seems John Kerry -one of the most tax loving liberals of all time- apparently has attempted to dodge a $500.000 tax bill.

Yeah that's right Kerry it seems he has attempted to avoid paying excise taxes to the state of Massachusetts by keeping his new multimillion dollar yacht moored in Rhode Island.

Once again a -"fat cat" multi-billion dollar- liberal is caught red handed trying to dodge taxes,that he and his ilk, love to impose on everyone else. In this video, from Fox News Boston, Kerry appears to be a little nervous,and definitely not "transparent, as he is confronted by a Fox news reporter and a vidiographer.



Note that Kerry say's ,"We'll pay our taxes, we've always paid our taxes,it's not an issue period, we've always paid our taxes". Sounds like he's trying to convince himself ,as much as ,he's trying to convince the reporter. Then after being pressed he later tries to dodge the question of taxes by saying "it depends on who owns the yacht".

Well turns out it's owned by his wife's company. He spends some time ducking and weaving by saying something about maintenance, and , warranty work. Well for goodness sake the thing isa brand new multi million dollar yacht why in the world does it need warranty work already? Sure as heck sounds like a dodge to me

Yes it seems this unbelievably rich "man of the people" doesn't like taxes. Libs love to laden you and I down with scores of laws, taxes, and regulation's, but when it comes to themselves their much ballyhooed "transparency" starts looking more like a Klingon cloaking device!

Joint U.S. South Korean exercise draws ire of Kim Ill Jung!

What a sappy looking jokerthe "Glorious Leader" of North Korea,Kim Ill, has gotten him self into a  tizzy over joint U.S. South Korean military operations near the east coast of Korea. In fact this nut is threatening to retaliate with nuclear weapons in what Pyong Yang calls a "Sacred War".

Kim ill with nukes is like a child with matches given enough time the entire house is likely to be set on fire. This guy should be thankful -as well as hope- that the F-22 Raptors being used in this operation aren't dropping shock and awe bombs on his crazy little head!

The Associated press is reporting...

"The drills, set to run through Wednesday, involve about 8,000 U.S. and South Korean troops, 20 ships and submarines and 200 aircraft. The USS George Washington, with several thousand sailors and dozens of fighter jets aboard, was deployed from Japan."

that's a pretty massive show of force. I dare say there's enough firepower to pretty well take o'l Kim out! I'm heartened to see us flex our muscles in this way as an answer to Kim's outrageous sinking of a South Korean naval vessel,but, we should actually be taking out a North Korean vessel,or, military installation in retaliation.

When it comes down to brass tacks the only thing his kind understands is unequivocal brute force. Kim has no respect for our current leader whom-I'm sure- he considers weak. Well if he keeps it up even Barack Obama may be forced to use force to put him in his place.

Kim ill don't threaten us with nuclear war,just be glad, your not dead already!

Truth or Dare

Last night, rumors circulated all around the Internet that two ranches in Laredo, Texas had been overrun by a Mexican cartel. It appears that many elements of the story may actually have been rumor, and many believe the entire incident was nothing more than a hoax. Although it's apparent that there was violence in the area yesterday, the specific nature and details of that violence remain unconfirmed.

The entire event bothers me for a couple of reasons. First, it is entirely believable that such an incident could in fact occur and that the media wouldn't report it, directed not to do so by the local authorities or the federal government. There are legitimate reasons for giving such news only brief attention - fear of revealing critical tactical information, for example. A media blackout, on the other hand, would be entirely unacceptable; this is in fact what the rumors of the alleged event stated had happened. And obviously, there are many people who believed this could have been the case. The last presidential election and the events which have taken place since have completely destroyed much of the credibility the press once possessed. Simply put, the public by and large does not trust the media to report the facts.

The other thing that bothers me about this is the alacrity with which so many accepted the incident as a hoax. If the events of the past three years have taught us anything, it should be that we don't stand a chance of achieving our goal by attacking each other. United we stand, divided we fall. While most people were simply concerned at the serious nature of the story, there are a few who rather viciously attacked their “friends” for being so gullible as to fall for a trick likely perpetrated by the left. By taking such a position, these people give the impression that we should all just shut up and sit down for fear of being ridiculed. That mindset is a great deal of the reason we are in the situation we face today.

There are very few journalists in our country today who are regarded as trustworthy. In a political atmosphere rife with the tension of corruption, citizens are forced to acknowledge that if we want the facts, we're going to have to ferret them out ourselves. Additionally, we're going to have to set aside our innately human fear of being ridiculed. Does this mean we should report something as news without having verified the surrounding facts? Of course not - but we're going to have to be willing to work hard and research quickly. And perhaps most importantly, we must fix firmly in our minds the reason we're doing this. Not for recognition or profit, we are doing this to save our country.

Ronald Reagan said, "There is no limit to what a man can do or where he can go if he doesn't mind who gets the credit." This same sentiment applies to ridicule; you can accomplish anything when you don't mind being laughed at if you fail. If we are to be successful in restoring this Republic, we need to lay aside dreams of glory and fears of ridicule. I can only speak for myself, but I'm in.

Hypocritical N.A.A.C.P seeks to capitolize on Sherrod mistake

In what can only be called a brazen move the NAACP is seeking to capitalize on it's shameful railroading of Shirley Sherrod! That's right the organization that showed how quick they are to eat their own is now attempting to gain support for their anti-tea party vendetta by asking people who visit their full length video of Shirley Sherrod to take their "Pledge against hate"

After signing their pledge they want people to share their propaganda on their Facebook page. The Audacity of this move astonishes me. Within just a day of crucifying-arguably- one of their most ardent supporters the man who stuck the proverbial knife in her back Benjamin Jealous and the NAACP is trying to whip up anti-tea party hysteria. Once again the lefts old tactic of demonize, and ,vilify any one or any thing that dare disagree with them can be seen in full swing.

As it stands now I believe their unreasoning hatred of the Tea Parties is going to cost them dearly in their desperate attempt to tar and feather the Tea Party people as "racists" they are wagging the finger of shame not only at whites,but, also blacks and Hispanics. Several speakers at tea party, and tea party like events -such as Fair Tax rallies- are black and even crack jokes about how according to the NAACP they should be afraid of being lynched.

No in their "rush to judgement" of Ms. Sherrod-as well as- the Tea Party movement that have showed hypocrisy in not following their own advice not to be prejudice from the blogger's point of view they have out lived their usefulness.

Shirley Sherrod was given a raw deal by the Obama administration

I have to admit I came a little late to this story. I had heard something about it yesterday,but, I was busy with other things and didn't check it out. I'm always a little Leary of jumping on "She's a racist/he's a racist" bandwagons anyway. That said I was watching the Today show this morning when they headlined this story. It rapidly became apparent that something had gone terribly wrong with this particular case of "she's a racist"

Matt Lauer gave out information about being able to see the full video of what Shirley Sherrod had said over at the NAACP website, so, I hustled to my computer and brought it up, what I saw and heard appalled me, clearly this woman had been railroaded by someone!!

Matt quickly started blaming Fox News, and, Brietbart for peddling"garbage" but,I thought. who did the firing? IT was the Secretary of agricultur, whith I might add, the tacit approval of Barack Obama himself!

Why were these two so quick to condemn this woman without making a thorough check of the facts? If this wasn't bad enough the NAACP had turned viciously on one of there own .and, had hastened to throw her under the bus. They had to in order -in the judgement I feel they made at the time- to save face after they had just been giving the Tea Party hell for alleged racism in their ranks, as well as, views.

I hardly agree with Shirley Sherrod on many of her political points- she is an advocate of class warfare in my opinion, and most definitely a left leaning socialistic democrat, but I have watched the full video(posted above) and applaud her for recognizing her own racism and repenting and turning from it. No this woman was given a very very raw deal by the Obama Administration.

She deserves a personal apology from The President, Secretary of Ag, and the head of the NAACP.

BP finally gets it right! Oil Cap Holding in the Gulf!!

This is a very, very welcome sight! It appears as though British Petroleum's cap of the Gulf gusher is going to hold.

Now the next step is-according to reports-to kill the well. This is to be done by boring into the pipe that is channeling the oil up to the cap. This worries me though-it seems to me- that they will have to relieve some of the pressure when this is done. or , risk another blowout!

At this point I don't envy BP one bit -if after having sealed this monster-they have another blowout during the bottom kill process- what then?

I sometimes may be quick to criticise,but, I'm also quite willing to give praise for a job well done. True after the first cap was taken off there was quite a large release of oil into the Gulf,but, and this is a big one,by God this time they got her shut down- and for this they deserve praise-I say well done to all the people involved in getting this cap in place!! You folks-the ones who have bled, sweated, and done the tough work, from engineers to laborers deserve a big job done well round of applause.

Now all that remains is to seal the deal, get this thing killed, and get this badly needed oil into proper production. Meantime we need to do everything in our power to make sure this doesn't happen again. As I said in an earlier post we need to look at everything from  BOP's to surface collection of spilled oil and make sure if this does happen we are better prepared to deal with it. America needs the energy from the Gulf.

Obama's Information Czar Cass Sunstein a threat to liberty!

In this video Glenn Beck unloads on Cass Sunstein,Obama's "Propaganda Minister", and his theories about cotrolling thought, and speech by making"anti government opinion, ideas, and movements,illegal! It seems to me that this Sunstein fellow is a real whack job. What really is amazing though is-as Beck points out-Sunstein's own ideas amount to a conspiracy theory of their own! Maybe its time to hoist old Cass on his own petard!!

Looks like Obama's "information "Czar" is a guy who thinks government censorship is a Good thing! I guess he hasn't read the first amendment lately,especially the part about congress not abridging the freedom of speech. Seems to me that liberals think that freedom of speech only applies to them, and ,liberal -so called-professional journalists.

Sunstein advocates that websites "voluntarily" provide links to websites that hold views opposite to what they are expounding! However-and this is a big however-if websites- and I assume sooner or later bloggers and every body else who posts on the web- would be required to post opposing views- if they don't want to do it voluntarily.

Sunstein calls it "mandates" and proposes that Congress hold hearings requiring what I've just talked about. This is exactly opposite to what the founding fathers believed. They believed that anyone should be able to put forward any political argument they wanted without fear of retribution from the government,and these fools wonder why there is a Tea Party movement.

Reinvigorate the forces of democratic deliberation?!!! What he means is to give the government more power to take away freedom and replace it with oppression!!! Mr. President I have news for you. For many Americans this has been -and never stopped being- a contentious issue since before George Bush was president. Especially for the people of the border states who have had to live with threats to their lives and property for decades now. These folks have,in recent days, seen a severe escalation in violence on the Mexican and American sides of the border.

I'm writing this on July 2,2010 and the morning news told the story of a military style firefight in Mexico only 12 miles from our border in which 25 people were killed. Mr. President there is a civil war going on in Mexico and it is spilling into this country and threatening the security of not only the border states but also our entire nation. Add to this the fact that illegal immigration along the Mexican American border has practically became a hostile invasion. Indeed Mexican Army units have been caught on our side of the border and have even shot at our border patrol. This in my opinion is unconscionable!

Mr. President you have sworn an oath to protect and defend this country and it's people,and yet, your speech yesterday showed weakness, defeatism and a catastrophic lack of leadership. You have said that "the system is broken". No it is not! All that needs be done is to enforce the law. That is exactly what states like Arizona and Missouri have been trying to do enforce Federal law as it regards immigration!

You have said this is a nation of laws,and, so it is. So why is enforcing current Federal law so controversial? It's not controversial when local police routinely arrest other kinds of criminals who have broken both state and Federal laws. Why should it be so in this case? I'll tell you why, because you are driven by left wing political correctness and not by the Constitution. I could go on and on but for now I make one simple request. Mr. President do your job and secure our border now!!!

People are being raped on America's southern border. It's time for the federal government to do it's job

This video is highly disturbing. I found this at Examiner.com after using this search term on google-The war on America's southern border -there are some excellent articles listed on this page that really shed light on how bad the situation is on our border with Mexico. Suffice it to say that Mexico is being a really bad neighbor.

An excellent site to visit is a blog called "Stand Up America" and the article "War on the southern border".

They have sworn solemn oaths to "protect this nation against all enemies foreign and domestic".

Well from where I set they have all failed at upholding that oath. Instead we see them constantly wringing their collective wrists worrying about not being politically correct while our countrymen in the border states suffer. I've got news for them their inaction on illegal immigration, and, the border problem, is becoming politically incorrect darned fast!!

Meanwhile the main stream media is in a tizzy over Arizona's new anti illegal immigrant legislation. Missouri has had a very tough new group of laws to combat this problem for years(for more on Missouri's laws click here). I live in Missouri and can tell you our laws have made it very difficult for illegals to live here. Under Missouri law The Missouri Highway Patrol can demand proof of legal residency from anyone they arrest. If a person is here illegally they are handed to the feds for deportation!

If you are an illegal in Missouri all state benefits are off limits to you. You cannot get state aid , get college tuition from the state or enroll in our state health care plan. Believe me we see a whole lot fewer Mexicans roaming the streets in Missouri now days. It is high time that our President take action on this.

Here's what Barack should consider. In the earl y 1900's we had a similar problem with Mexico. Then President Taft sent the U.S.Army to Texas to secure the border. Later Woodrow Wilson sent a Missouri boy John Pershing, along with 500,000 soldiers down into Mexico to take car of the problem. It was taken care of and for most of the 20th century there were no major issues with this area. But then in the 60's the libs started letting the illegals in. A drop became a trickle and now the trickle has become a flood!

Mr. President it is time to dispatch a large contingent of American troops to our southern border and get this situation under control. Failure to do so may well lead to disaster!! Mr. President please put a stop to the raping and killing on the border with Mexico social justice demands it!!!

Kim's North Korea has threatened to "increase Punishment" for an American Citizen-Aijalon Mahli Gomez a resident of Boston-if the United States doesn't stop what it considers warlike actions because of our threatened sanctions against the North because of it's brazen attack of a South Korean warship!

This mans crime? Stepping into North Korea to preach the word of God from the Holy Bible! How outrageous is this? Kim must really have a fear of God- as well as God's wrath against his evil deeds- to have had a man that is described as "loving everyone in the world" sentenced to 8 years hard labor!

In this blogger's opinion it is high time to do more than threaten North Korea with U.N. sanctions. We are an ally to South Korea and have a mutual defense pact with them. It's time we answer their outrageous attack against the south and perhaps bomb a North Korean military installation-or even better yet- sink one of their ships.

The only thing this nut in the North will ever recognize and respect is force! Personally I would love to see this country drop a hell fire missile on Jong when he's having one of his military parades. Wouldn't it be wonderful to see the "Glorious leader" blown to bits on his evil reviewing stand?

Well,I doubt that's going to happen with the current occupant of the White House in power. Berry seems to be afraid to get harsh with Kim. I say it's time to give Kim ill a smack across his face and demand he set

Louisiana oilspill caused by catastrophic lack of common sense

Even as millions of gallons of oil continue to spill into the Gulf we now learn that in the days and hours leading up to the Deep Water Horizon explosion BP cut corners, as well as, good oil field practices, in order to cut costs!!

This to me is inexcusable. When you're working a mile under water it seems to me you should take all the precautions, and steps necessary to insure safety ,as well as, production! BP was more concerned with saving money. How much are you saving now BP?

The A.P recently reported that Bp had been advised to put in a steel liner, as well as casing, to help protect against blowouts. They chose to only put in steel casing.

They were advised by Haliburton that they would need 26 "centralizers" to keep the casing centered in the bore hole. BP decided on six, and later a BP engineer had second thoughts but ended up sending an e-mail that said "who cares, end of story, will probably be fine". Ha, who cares? Me and about 300 million other Americans, and ,IT'S NOT FINE!!!

His is the sort of thing that gives Capitalism, and Big business, a bad name!! I'm all for free enterprise and private, as well as, personal initiative, but carelessness and a lack of common sense cannot be tolerated. BP has said they will make it "right".

Well they better get on the ball because things are becoming wronger every day. These corporate criminals need to be brought up in charges. They have caused through a lack of concern and common sense one of the worst ecological catastrophes in the history of mankind. For this they must be made to pay. The people of the gulf, the United States, and the world, deserve better than what they are getting from British Petroleum now!

I am today thoroughly disgusted with myself...I could have done more to stop what is happening today. We ALL could have. I valued my comfort, my own standard of living, over the liberty purchased with the blood and sweat of my forefathers. I am ashamed.

Minority Report could become reality in Putin's Russia

" MOSCOW, June 11 (Reuters) - Russia's parliament on Friday voted to boost the powers of the successor to the Soviet KGB, allowing it to summon people it believes are about to commit a crime and threaten jail for those who disobey its orders."


In the "Minority Report" the state of freedom in the world had deteriorated to the point that the police would arrest someone just for thinking about a crime, seems the Russians see this as a good Idea. All of this is being done more or less in the name of "safety".

I can't help but wonder how long before some politician in this country will propose a similar law. After all it already seems as if everything is illegal. This is an especially frightening thought seeing as how the Democrats in Washington seem to have more in common with the communists of this world than they do with the traditional values of American freedom.

Make no mistake this law being proposed in Russia comes straight from the Soviet era and I'm sure it will help Putin consolidate his iron grip on power. This is what happens when governments begin to attempt to control everything. This is what is troubling,the current crowd in Washington seems to have an insatiable lust for power.

I hope I'm wrong but I fear it won't be too many years-if that long- before something similar gets proposed over here. Bad thing is nobody will read the bill and it will probably become law.

Well that's my rant for tonight. Remember...demand freedom!!

This is from a book by A&D Publishing which is owned by Wilder Publishing. Evidently the founding documents of this country can be detrimental to young developing minds if they don't get told by their parents that we the people of the United States no longer share the values espoused in these three great documents! What a bunch of horse  s##t! This is a perfect example of political correctness run amok. I'm sure that some schools probably already discourage kids from reading the papers that created the greatest, most free nation on the face of the earth.

For the life of me I can't think of what is so homophobic, racist,-other than references to slaves in the Constitution- or misogynistic about theses documents that they might be unsafe for children to read! This is what we have come to as a people and a nation. The founders must be wondering if we really deserve what they by the Grace of God gave us.

Well I just have to shake my head and call on anyone who reads this to respectfully contact Wilder Publications  by clicking the link I just posted and ask them to remove this offensive and odious warning from their books. It's time that people with common sense demand that politically correct nuts-who are always so worried about offending someone else- stop offending us!!

What a great song: "Courtesy of The Red White and Blue"

I love this song! I can still remember vividly the first time I heard it. It was a few days after the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 ,and I was driving home from K.C. Missouri listening to a country station on the radio, when on comes this song.

In the emotional time after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, this song summed up perfectly the feelings I felt toward those who had attacked our country. When I think about that dread full day when the Twin towers fell I still become extremely angry.

Well here we are nine years later. A lot has changed since then. The war on terror has been joined, and the terrorist scum have felt the wrath of this great country. Unfortunately they seem to have a learning disability in that every time we punish them they continue to pull their nonsense again and again.

We all need to keep in mind who we are as a people,and how great this nation is. The war that was forced upon us on Sept 11 will be a long war indeed. We are up against a determined enemy! There is only one war with many fronts. On the Iraqi front we have had a measure of success.


The Afghan front is currently the main theater of operation. But make no mistake theses folks are at war with the entire civilized world. But I have no doubt that they will be defeated "Courtesy of The Red White and Blue

Gun control doesn't stop murder rampage in England

"SEASCALE, England (AP) - A taxi driver drove his vehicle on a shooting spree across a tranquil stretch of northwest England on Wednesday, methodically killing 12 people and wounding 25 others before turning the gun on himself, officials said. The rampage in the county of Cumbria was Britain's deadliest mass shooting since 1996 and it jolted a country where handguns are banned and multiple shootings rare."


Whenever I read one of these stories of someone going ballistic and using a gun to kill a bunch of people I am reminded of the folly of gun control.

According to the Heartland institute  there are more than 20,000 federal,state, and local laws on the books concerning gun control and even as I write this someone somewhere is drafting another one. When oh when will gun control advocates learn that guns don't kill people, people kill people.

Without the aid of a human being a gun is -for the most part- incapable of doing anything beyond gathering dust. No what the real problem is a problem of the human spirit. People use guns to kill people because they are either criminals such as rapists, thieves, or unhinged lunatics.

In the case above of the man in England it is obvious that for some reason this guy went off his rocker and went on a senseless spree of mayhem and death. No amount of law or gun control would have stopped it. If this guy couldn't have gotten a gun he would have used something else-take for example some of the recent violence in China where nuts have used knives to kill the innocent- clearly gun control measures don't work.

If you read this take the time to check out this article from the Heartland institute titled "Taking Aim at Gun Control". I think you will find it quite informative. The founders of this country- in their wisdom- enshrined the right to have and bear arms in the Constitution. They knew that the best deterrent to crime and violence was for the honest citizen to be able to use a gun to defend himself from criminals, enemies, and an out of control government if need be!

If some of the good folks of England had been armed where this atrocity took place this lunatic might have been stopped before he killed and maimed so many people.

Al Qaida Criminal Mustafa Al Yazid Dead!

Is it just me or do these terrorist leaders look like crazed characters from some B grade spy movie?Actually this guy just looks plain old crazy with a capital C! By now you've probably already heard the news that Mustafa Al Yazid -Al Qaida's number three man is dead.

It's sad that because he became so sick and twisted he had to be killed-and if you doubt the sick and twisted part look again at the picture-but if you want to play with fire you are bound to get burned.
Thats exactly what happened to this coward-and unfortunately I suspect his children-were burned by a missle most fittingly called HellFire. This man, Osama bin Laden, and all their motley crew deserve the fires of hell. By all accounts this man has been one of the top planners of the senseless atrocities that Al Qaida have committed all over the world.

Bin Laden ,Al Yazid and company have been responsible for the deaths of of thousands of men, women and children. I recall that after 911 George Bush, doing something no other president had ever carried through with, declared war on theses terrorist scum and swore that they would be brought to justice,.
Well in my opinion if Mustafa here has actually been killed by a HellFire missle then justice has been done.

A part of me is always saddened by the death of anyone, and this guy is no exception. Here is a life totally wasted in the pursuit of blood and killing. It saddens me but at the same time I say good riddance the world has become a small bit better to be rid of this defective psychopath.

Hopefully bin Laden and whoever is left is starting to know terror the way so many of Al Qaida's victims have experienced it ,and God willing, he will soon meet his maker also!

NEVER FORGET

I'm not going to write the post that's been eating at my heart and mind for most of the week; for one thing, I'm furious, and I have a very difficult time articulating in a sane and thoughtful manner when I feel this way. I will say: the fact that our Commander-in-Chief has decided against a visit to Arlington on Memorial Day in favor of a visit to Chicago (REALLY?? NOW you decide to honor your promises?) is distressing. Unseemly. Decidedly UN-presidential.

I love Memorial Day, and at the same time it's a holiday that hurts. It is incredibly appropriate that we observe the amazing sacrifice made by so many for the freedom we enjoy today. We should always remember that FREEDOM is not FREE - it is bought and paid for with the blood, sweat, and tears of those who cannot bear oppression. It is preserved by those whose courage and valor are greater than their love of comfort and wealth. The men and women who serve in our armed forces - directly AND indirectly - certainly at the least deserve a holiday commemorating the sacrifices they and their predecessors have made.

But to many people, this is a just another three-day weekend. Time to party, right? Yes, actually, it is - that, and a bit more. Celebrate your freedom by sharing it with your loved ones. Enjoy the get-togethers, barbecues, parties...and remember the sacrifices that purchased them.

IMPACTS" section 2 of the American Power act-or as I like to call it the give more power to Washington act- the newest iteration of cap and tax being pushed by John Kerry in the Senate.

Whoever really wrote this nonsense is laying out the foundation for regulating carbon emissions in this country. However they once again rehash a litany of so called scientific evidence that has largely been discredited. what really glares at me is the term "Climate Change". Whatever happened to "Global Warming "? It's gone away because the left knows it doesn't exist.

I'll agree that evidence suggests that for some time in the 80's and early 90's temperatures were going up, but in recent time, we have seen record low temperatures all over the globe, as well as, snow and ice events in places where there is no memory of such things!

With that said consider this quote from "American Roundtable... " Most scientists do not believe human activities threaten to disrupt the Earth’s climate. More than 17,000 scientists have signed a petition circulated by the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine saying, in part, “there is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate.” (Go to www.oism.org for the complete petition and names of signers.) Surveys of climatologists show similar skepticism"...(read more here).

In fact there seems to be quite a bit of evidence that non of the imaginary climate change bogymen listed in the above mentioned section of the "American Power Act" will actually come to pass. What in the world are they trying to protect us from? Evidently nothing more than the Weather and that's been a constant since God created the world. Fact is it is the height of hubris to believe that such an infinitesimal creature as man has changed the climate of an entire world!

No I suspect that what this is all about is making more people dependent on the federal government-look at the mention of protecting low income folks from high energy prices-and increasing Washington's control over every aspect of the economy!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this country did not become great by central planning, this country became great from a very limited government,and private, and personal, initiative. I call upon any who read this to contact their congress man or woman and demand they vote against this misguided attempt to grow the power of the federal government!

Cap and Trade. Washingtons attempt to create a new economy!

Well cap and trade, or more properly called, cap and tax, has once again reared it's ugly head. Thanks to good old John Kerry a new iteration of this nightmare of government abuse of power is starting to wind it's way through the Senate.

It is euphemistically called "The American Power Act". Give me a brake it should really be called surrender of all power and control to the government act!

This thing is a real turkey. My opinion of what I've seen of it is that it is a bail out Al gore's carbon tax trading company act. After all Al Gore and his cronies stand to make BILLIONS trading carbon credits.

This is where the idea of the government seeking to completely remake the economy of this country comes in. A brief perusal of just some of the section titles makes it abundantly clear that by the end of the day our economy will be transformed from a capitalist free market economy into a n economy totally planned and run from Washington. This IS NOT how this country became great.

We became great because in the beginning the Constitution provided a free and stable place for the PEOPLE to create a new economy that became the envy of the world. Let me say that again the greatest economy in the history of the world was created in this country as a result of FREEDOM not government central planning.

The soviets tried this "central planning" of the economy thing and that ended in horrific failure. Do we REALLY want to travel down that same dead end road? I think not. Hello World

Hello to all, you may or may not have heard me mentioned on this blog before. I am Eugene's oldest son Travis. My dad has asked for some contributors to this blog, so I thought I would take some time and try and get a few of my thoughts out on the web, although in time he may regret allowing me to do this.

A little background on me, I am 27 years old, spent 4 years in the Marine Corps and am now working in IT as a systems administrator for a financial institution in southwest Missouri. I am divorced and remarried and have 2 wonderful children.

I used to consider myself a Republican, but recently I have begun to rethink my party alignment due to the general hypocrisy and broken state of the party, their inability to maintain conservative values, and my general disagreement with them on many social issues. I did vote for one "Barack Hussein Obama" as you will often hear him referred to on this blog, but have been generally disappointed with his performance thus far. Where does this leave me? I would say it leaves me with millions of other Americans. Disappointed in the 2 party system after watching power voted to one party or another with the same outcome; nothing changed for the better and complete disregard for the will of the people. I think it is time for a real change in this country and am hoping we have some politicians who can do it come the next election.

Consider this an introductory post. I intend to post some things on this blog that may be contrary to the beliefs of its creator, I hope you will at least take the time to read and consider them.

Since my co-contributor movefearlessly joined this blog I have been intrigued by this persons reference to Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand I have heard it referenced in the past,but having never read the book I really didn't know what was being talked about. Since the post "When will Atlas Shrug" I have researched this novel, and have found that in many ways I may be a kindred soul of Ayn Rand. I have a very, very strong belief in the power of the individual, and of individual freedom.

What I have learned so far is that it seems we are living -quite literally- the nightmare of bureaucratic nonsense- that Rand depicted in her novel.

"The depiction portrays a society based on oppressive bureaucratic functionaries and a culture that embraces the stifling mediocrity and egalitarianism of socialistic idealism."

Even as I write this Obama and his redistributionist friends in Washington are hard at work trying to make this bleak vision of a once future America a reality. Unfortunately we have been traveling on the "Atlas Shrugged" path for to long.

I still have much to learn about this provocative novel, but from what I have already learned, it is almost prophetic! I challenge you-the reader- to research this phenomenon and I think you too will conclude that it is quite possible that Atlas is already shrugging.

LOVE THIS MAN

Lt. Col. Allen West is running for election in Florida's District 22. A third-generation military man with a love of God and country, he is an all-around Republican rockstar, and I sincerely hope he waxes the floor with his competition in November.

This man is a true conservative. He's a straight shooter, unafraid to tell the truth and completely unapologetic when it comes to standing up for his principles. I'm sure my husband will forgive me for saying I love this man!

One of the insidious diseases currently eating away at our country is the pressure to be politically correct. I've spent part of my day reading one report after another covering this offensive "monster Mosque" being proposed for construction in the shadow of the former World Trade Center. Quite honestly, I don't see how any American can consider the project anything other than an abomination. I won't say anything else about it (I'd hate to break yet another no-profanity vow), other than this: being politically correct will only get us killed.

Take a few minutes to watch this video, and I think you'll understand why I wish I could cast a vote for Lt. Col. West this fall, and why I think all of us might eventually have the opportunity to vote for him in the future. The beginning of the clip is his answer to a question about the "perversion" of Islam by Jihadists. He doesn't pull any punches, doesn't bat an eye, lays out the cold hard truth clearly and eloquently. This man is a statesman rather than a politician, and electing candidates like him will help us set our country back on the right path.

Protecting freedom of speech through censorship?

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

This is one of the most fundamental of our freedoms. The right of the "People" to have unlimited freedom of political speech. It is true I cannot stand in a theater and shout fire. We don't have the freedom to slander a person, or make false allegations, but, when it comes to political speech the Constitution is quite clear there are to be NO limits.

Enter McCain Fiengold. The odious so called campaign finance law. This peice of crap law should never have been ratified. I remember Bush signing it and thought how could he? I know Bush thought it would be struck down immediately, but, alas it was not. Thankfully it has since been put to rest thanks to a lawsuit by a group called "Citizens United".

In this watershed case for first amendment rights Obama's new pick for the Supreme Court argued against allowing corporations to publish books or pamphlets advocating the election or defeat of a political candidate,and, whats more, Mr. Obama thinks this protects the rights of citizens. I beg to differ. In the case of Citizens United this was a non profit that wanted to release a documentary critical of Hillary Clinton. the government said no!

Now Barack wants the women who fought to uphold this censorship law appointed to the Supreme court and even says ...
"Last year, in the Citizens United case, she defended bipartisan campaign finance reform against special interests seeking to spend unlimited money to influence our elections. Despite long odds of success, with most legal analysts believing the government was unlikely to prevail in this case, Elena still chose it as her very first case to argue before the Court. I think that says a great deal not just about Elena’s tenacity, but about her commitment to serving the American people. I think it says a great deal about her commitment to protect our fundamental rights."


Supposedly this law was supposed to stop for profit corporations and labor unions from unduly influencing elections. But I ask the question why can't these groups be allowed to have political opinons? This was a red herring from the get go! What is truly disturbing is the prohibitions against corporations from exercising their first amenment rights is that it was possible tha news papers, radio broadcasts, and other form of speech produced by "corporations" could be restricted!. My golly almost everything we see, read or hear is is produced by a "corporation".

This sort of thing is very dangerous. If the government can shut up corporations then they can shut you and I up too. They already drool at the thought of silencing talk radio and conservative bloggers. Now comes Barack wanting this woman on the Supreme Court, a person who see's nothing wrong with censorship.

Folks the Supreme court has already ruled against personal freedom enough. In the last several years their have been a lot of cases that have eroded our freedom, and ,one in particular, that basically wiped out personal property rights.

We don't need Barack Obama's version of protecting our rights we need justices who will uphold the Constituion as it was written by the founders. We don't have too much freedom, rather, more and more, we have too little. We sure as heck don't need our "rights" protected by censorship!

When will Atlas Shrug?

I've been MIA for most of the past week, in a funk of my own creation. I'm an avid reader; since I could walk and talk, I've loved books of all genres. I was one of the nerds who delighted in literature assignments, usually the weirder the better.

Many moons ago, I read Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged. This was near the end of the Reagan era, when capitalism and patriotism were on the rise, and to me it was just another interesting novel - a fascinating source of grief that I tried to work into a challenging semester load. Last week, I decided to re-read it. What a source of grief again, for entirely different reasons!

I admit I had a difficult time with Rand's creepily prescient work. Many times I had to put the book down as I cried, overcome with an anxiety approaching ice-cold fear. We are headed for Rand's societal meltdown. And unbelievably, it's not that far in the future.

Turning things around is going to take a lot of work from all of us. We need to get informed -- which won't be easy if the current administration is successful in locking down the Internet -- and we need to get involved. Above all, we need to replace as many liberal politicians as possible come November. Our government is strangling production in this country. These people do not produce jobs, do not generate income, accomplish nothing effectively. And they continue to cry "You HAVE to!" as they conspire to steal from future generations under the guise of entitlement spending.

We must stop it, now.

Or Atlas WILL shrug.

Faisal Shazad: American Traitor

What a shmuck! Faisal Shazad is, in addition to being an inept terrorist,an American citizen who has committed treason against his country.

Sunday I watched the talking heads in the liberal media wring their hands wondering what we should do with the likes of Shazad. Well seems pretty clear to me quit trying theses people as regular criminals, and begin charging them as what they are, traitors!

Here is a definition of treason... "Violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one's country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies...A betrayal of trust or confidence" (source: West's Encyclopedia of American Law)

Treason is also defined under American law as ..."engaging in a conspiracy to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them."(source Legal Information Institute) So there it is this guy is nothing more than a traitor, and as such, should be stripped of citizenship, as provided by law, and then tried in a court martial as an enemy combatant and executed.
Thats what should have been done to one of the first modern American traitors in the War on Terror "Johnny Bin Laden" A.K.A John Walker Lindh. There has been a lot of nonsense written about how he was on a spiritual journey. But it was a journey that led him to raise arms against American forces. In the wake of 911 this guy joined the enemy and fought against his country. He should have been tried for treason and shot.

It seems common sense is dead in this country. Could you imagine if an American had joined the third Reich, fought against Americans, been captured and then brought here to stand trial as a citizen during WW2, and only been sentenced to 20 years in prison? no I think he would have been called a traitor in that time and treated as such.

We need to get some intestinal fortitude in this country and treat these people for what they are dirty rotten traitors, dogs in the manger if you will biting the hand that feeds, and get rid of them post haste.

In my view any one who goes to Pakistan, Afghanistan, or wherever, trains with Al Kaieda,The Taliban, or any other extremist group at war with America, is a traitor. Why do the libs,the press, and our politicians have such a hard time with this? We don't need to reinvent the wheel? If we just follow precedent from other wars these folks are enemy combatants that's it plain and simple! I say shoot them at dawn!!!

A.P Reports: Series of failures led to rig blast

The A.P is reporting that a series of failures led to the blast, and ultimate sinking, of the oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.

When the disastrous explosion, and subsequent sinking, of the ill fated "Deep Water Horizon oil rig was first reported my gut reaction was "this has got to be sabotage! Yet I wondered could this have been just one horrific chain of events that led to this enormous catastrophe?

I suspected sabotage because of the timing. After all Barack had just announced that we would expand off shore drilling, and for sure a lot of fanatical environmentalists had to have had their panties in a wad.

I even thought about raising the question in a post but decided to wait and see what would be turned up as this accident was investigated. I'm glad I did.

According to the A.P. a bubble of methane gas blew out, exploded, and caused the demise of this rig as well as several unfortunate roughnecks on the rig.

The news from the associated press states that "the first thing workers noticed was the seawater in the drill column suddenly shooting back at them, rocketing 240 feet in the air. Then, gas surfaced Then oil".
The article goes on to quote a former oil field worker as saying: "What we had learned when I worked as a drill rig laborer was swoosh, boom, run," Bea said. "The swoosh is the gas, boom is the explosion and run is what you better be doing."

I can attest that this is indeed true. I worked as a roughneck in the oilfields of Wyoming back in the 1980's and things can happen damn fast on an oil rig. I have personally experienced having gases from deep inside a well blow in my face. Nothing as bad as what happened in this incident.

Yes whoosh, boom, and run like hell, is more like it. If a well blows out there are thousands of feet of drill pipe coming out of the ground ,flying into the air, and sooner or later, falling back to earth all around you! the bad thing on an ocean rig is there isn't much of any place to run.

It's true that a lot of things had to fail for this disaster to happen, but you know what, given enough time it's bound to happen. Remember the space shuttle Columbia? There were a lot of fail safes in place, but, they all failed and people died.

Unfortunately every so often sh-t happens. Apparently this was one of those times and unfortunately 11 workers lost their lives and a lot of damage was caused to the environment. Does this mean we need to stop all off shore drilling? NO! It means we need to learn from the failures and mistakes that happened here, improve our systems, and move on. America NEEDS the energy.
