Since my co-contributor movefearlessly joined this blog I have been intrigued by this persons reference to Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand I have heard it referenced in the past,but having never read the book I really didn't know what was being talked about. Since the post "When will Atlas Shrug" I have researched this novel, and have found that in many ways I may be a kindred soul of Ayn Rand. I have a very, very strong belief in the power of the individual, and of individual freedom.

What I have learned so far is that it seems we are living -quite literally- the nightmare of bureaucratic nonsense- that Rand depicted in her novel.

"The depiction portrays a society based on oppressive bureaucratic functionaries and a culture that embraces the stifling mediocrity and egalitarianism of socialistic idealism."

Even as I write this Obama and his redistributionist friends in Washington are hard at work trying to make this bleak vision of a once future America a reality. Unfortunately we have been traveling on the "Atlas Shrugged" path for to long.

I still have much to learn about this provocative novel, but from what I have already learned, it is almost prophetic! I challenge you-the reader- to research this phenomenon and I think you too will conclude that it is quite possible that Atlas is already shrugging.

LOVE THIS MAN

Lt. Col. Allen West is running for election in Florida's District 22. A third-generation military man with a love of God and country, he is an all-around Republican rockstar, and I sincerely hope he waxes the floor with his competition in November.

This man is a true conservative. He's a straight shooter, unafraid to tell the truth and completely unapologetic when it comes to standing up for his principles. I'm sure my husband will forgive me for saying I love this man!

One of the insidious diseases currently eating away at our country is the pressure to be politically correct. I've spent part of my day reading one report after another covering this offensive "monster Mosque" being proposed for construction in the shadow of the former World Trade Center. Quite honestly, I don't see how any American can consider the project anything other than an abomination. I won't say anything else about it (I'd hate to break yet another no-profanity vow), other than this: being politically correct will only get us killed.

Take a few minutes to watch this video, and I think you'll understand why I wish I could cast a vote for Lt. Col. West this fall, and why I think all of us might eventually have the opportunity to vote for him in the future. The beginning of the clip is his answer to a question about the "perversion" of Islam by Jihadists. He doesn't pull any punches, doesn't bat an eye, lays out the cold hard truth clearly and eloquently. This man is a statesman rather than a politician, and electing candidates like him will help us set our country back on the right path.

Protecting freedom of speech through censorship?

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

This is one of the most fundamental of our freedoms. The right of the "People" to have unlimited freedom of political speech. It is true I cannot stand in a theater and shout fire. We don't have the freedom to slander a person, or make false allegations, but, when it comes to political speech the Constitution is quite clear there are to be NO limits.

Enter McCain Fiengold. The odious so called campaign finance law. This peice of crap law should never have been ratified. I remember Bush signing it and thought how could he? I know Bush thought it would be struck down immediately, but, alas it was not. Thankfully it has since been put to rest thanks to a lawsuit by a group called "Citizens United".

In this watershed case for first amendment rights Obama's new pick for the Supreme Court argued against allowing corporations to publish books or pamphlets advocating the election or defeat of a political candidate,and, whats more, Mr. Obama thinks this protects the rights of citizens. I beg to differ. In the case of Citizens United this was a non profit that wanted to release a documentary critical of Hillary Clinton. the government said no!

Now Barack wants the women who fought to uphold this censorship law appointed to the Supreme court and even says ...
"Last year, in the Citizens United case, she defended bipartisan campaign finance reform against special interests seeking to spend unlimited money to influence our elections. Despite long odds of success, with most legal analysts believing the government was unlikely to prevail in this case, Elena still chose it as her very first case to argue before the Court. I think that says a great deal not just about Elena’s tenacity, but about her commitment to serving the American people. I think it says a great deal about her commitment to protect our fundamental rights."


Supposedly this law was supposed to stop for profit corporations and labor unions from unduly influencing elections. But I ask the question why can't these groups be allowed to have political opinons? This was a red herring from the get go! What is truly disturbing is the prohibitions against corporations from exercising their first amenment rights is that it was possible tha news papers, radio broadcasts, and other form of speech produced by "corporations" could be restricted!. My golly almost everything we see, read or hear is is produced by a "corporation".

This sort of thing is very dangerous. If the government can shut up corporations then they can shut you and I up too. They already drool at the thought of silencing talk radio and conservative bloggers. Now comes Barack wanting this woman on the Supreme Court, a person who see's nothing wrong with censorship.

Folks the Supreme court has already ruled against personal freedom enough. In the last several years their have been a lot of cases that have eroded our freedom, and ,one in particular, that basically wiped out personal property rights.

We don't need Barack Obama's version of protecting our rights we need justices who will uphold the Constituion as it was written by the founders. We don't have too much freedom, rather, more and more, we have too little. We sure as heck don't need our "rights" protected by censorship!

When will Atlas Shrug?

I've been MIA for most of the past week, in a funk of my own creation. I'm an avid reader; since I could walk and talk, I've loved books of all genres. I was one of the nerds who delighted in literature assignments, usually the weirder the better.

Many moons ago, I read Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged. This was near the end of the Reagan era, when capitalism and patriotism were on the rise, and to me it was just another interesting novel - a fascinating source of grief that I tried to work into a challenging semester load. Last week, I decided to re-read it. What a source of grief again, for entirely different reasons!

I admit I had a difficult time with Rand's creepily prescient work. Many times I had to put the book down as I cried, overcome with an anxiety approaching ice-cold fear. We are headed for Rand's societal meltdown. And unbelievably, it's not that far in the future.

Turning things around is going to take a lot of work from all of us. We need to get informed -- which won't be easy if the current administration is successful in locking down the Internet -- and we need to get involved. Above all, we need to replace as many liberal politicians as possible come November. Our government is strangling production in this country. These people do not produce jobs, do not generate income, accomplish nothing effectively. And they continue to cry "You HAVE to!" as they conspire to steal from future generations under the guise of entitlement spending.

We must stop it, now.

Or Atlas WILL shrug.

Faisal Shazad: American Traitor

What a shmuck! Faisal Shazad is, in addition to being an inept terrorist,an American citizen who has committed treason against his country.

Sunday I watched the talking heads in the liberal media wring their hands wondering what we should do with the likes of Shazad. Well seems pretty clear to me quit trying theses people as regular criminals, and begin charging them as what they are, traitors!

Here is a definition of treason... "Violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one's country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies...A betrayal of trust or confidence" (source: West's Encyclopedia of American Law)

Treason is also defined under American law as ..."engaging in a conspiracy to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them."(source Legal Information Institute) So there it is this guy is nothing more than a traitor, and as such, should be stripped of citizenship, as provided by law, and then tried in a court martial as an enemy combatant and executed.
Thats what should have been done to one of the first modern American traitors in the War on Terror "Johnny Bin Laden" A.K.A John Walker Lindh. There has been a lot of nonsense written about how he was on a spiritual journey. But it was a journey that led him to raise arms against American forces. In the wake of 911 this guy joined the enemy and fought against his country. He should have been tried for treason and shot.

It seems common sense is dead in this country. Could you imagine if an American had joined the third Reich, fought against Americans, been captured and then brought here to stand trial as a citizen during WW2, and only been sentenced to 20 years in prison? no I think he would have been called a traitor in that time and treated as such.

We need to get some intestinal fortitude in this country and treat these people for what they are dirty rotten traitors, dogs in the manger if you will biting the hand that feeds, and get rid of them post haste.

In my view any one who goes to Pakistan, Afghanistan, or wherever, trains with Al Kaieda,The Taliban, or any other extremist group at war with America, is a traitor. Why do the libs,the press, and our politicians have such a hard time with this? We don't need to reinvent the wheel? If we just follow precedent from other wars these folks are enemy combatants that's it plain and simple! I say shoot them at dawn!!!

A.P Reports: Series of failures led to rig blast

The A.P is reporting that a series of failures led to the blast, and ultimate sinking, of the oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.

When the disastrous explosion, and subsequent sinking, of the ill fated "Deep Water Horizon oil rig was first reported my gut reaction was "this has got to be sabotage! Yet I wondered could this have been just one horrific chain of events that led to this enormous catastrophe?

I suspected sabotage because of the timing. After all Barack had just announced that we would expand off shore drilling, and for sure a lot of fanatical environmentalists had to have had their panties in a wad.

I even thought about raising the question in a post but decided to wait and see what would be turned up as this accident was investigated. I'm glad I did.

According to the A.P. a bubble of methane gas blew out, exploded, and caused the demise of this rig as well as several unfortunate roughnecks on the rig.

The news from the associated press states that "the first thing workers noticed was the seawater in the drill column suddenly shooting back at them, rocketing 240 feet in the air. Then, gas surfaced Then oil".
The article goes on to quote a former oil field worker as saying: "What we had learned when I worked as a drill rig laborer was swoosh, boom, run," Bea said. "The swoosh is the gas, boom is the explosion and run is what you better be doing."

I can attest that this is indeed true. I worked as a roughneck in the oilfields of Wyoming back in the 1980's and things can happen damn fast on an oil rig. I have personally experienced having gases from deep inside a well blow in my face. Nothing as bad as what happened in this incident.

Yes whoosh, boom, and run like hell, is more like it. If a well blows out there are thousands of feet of drill pipe coming out of the ground ,flying into the air, and sooner or later, falling back to earth all around you! the bad thing on an ocean rig is there isn't much of any place to run.

It's true that a lot of things had to fail for this disaster to happen, but you know what, given enough time it's bound to happen. Remember the space shuttle Columbia? There were a lot of fail safes in place, but, they all failed and people died.

Unfortunately every so often sh-t happens. Apparently this was one of those times and unfortunately 11 workers lost their lives and a lot of damage was caused to the environment. Does this mean we need to stop all off shore drilling? NO! It means we need to learn from the failures and mistakes that happened here, improve our systems, and move on. America NEEDS the energy.

An Original American Radical

Thomas Jefferson an original American radical. If o'l Tom were alive today he would probably be branded an "extremist"

Thomas Jefferson, scholar, diplomat, revolutionary,scientist,president. In many was a man born out of time. A genius whose ideas and thoughts still shape our world generations after his death.

This intellectual giant was part of a class of extraordinary men who dreamed of freedom and made it happen. Guided by the principles of the word of God, and the Bible's emphasis on freedom, these men-not only dreamed of-but brought into existence-freedom unmatched in human history.

These men dreamed a dream of freedom, of self determination, and an ideal that said "government is but a necessary evil"

What would Mr. Jefferson think of some of the events happening in our time.? Would he say that those who are angry over government usurpation of power-as well as -a total disregard for the Constitution- are extremist,out of control, an angry mob?

I think he would, but he would say such things, from the public's point of view. He would realize that the people-in their wisdom- were rightfully outraged by the shenanigans of a rogue government.

He knew that all real progress, change, security and freedom, lay not in governmental control, but in the wisdom and genius of the people.

Today we have a government that seems to have forgotten that the people are the master. Mr. Jefferson understood that the true role of government was to serve the people, and to provide, an atmosphere, where they could achieve Their goals and aspirations, not bow, scrape,and serve, an out of control government.

Where would Thomas Jefferson stand today, squarely on the side of townhallers, and teaparty people, and anyone else who yearned for freedom and SELF determination,not government fiat.

Speak out for Freedom!!

Mississipi, tornado, Louisiana oilspill, show Catastrophic lack of leadership by Obama administration

In the wake of two gigantic disasters, one natural, the other man made, has Barack Obama shown a lack of leadership? My response to that question would be a resounding YES!!

First lets take a look at the devastating tornado that tore through Mississippi last Sunday, where were the calls for Obama to tour the afflicted area? What has Fema's response been in the wake of one of the worst tornadoes in U.S. history? Who knows neither the major media or the president have said much about it.

CNN reported: "President Obama has "been briefed on the tragedy in Mississippi and the situation is being followed by the White House," Obama spokesman Bill Burton said".

This is all I could find about the Whitehouse's response to this mind bogglingly big tornado. If Bush were still president,if he hadn't been on the scene the next day, he would have been blasted for being callous and insensitive to the human suffering that is occurring in Yazoo City and other communities hit by this monster storm.

Barack had a chance to show he had more on the ball than Bush. He could have immediately flew to Mississippi to personally assess the damage. He could have ordered Fema onto the ground but he didn't. Last I read was a quote from Governor Barbour saying that Fema was ready if invited in.

Bush was roundly criticised for tarrying in the aftermath of Katrina. Where are all those critics now? Speaking of Katrina lets take a look at Obama's response to the huge oil spill in Louisiana.

For the first few days, we were told by a Coast Gaurd official, that they had cameras keeping an eye on the well head and no oil was leaking out.


Then it began to be apparent that oil was leaking and we were told it was a mere few hundred gallons a day. Now its in the hundreds of thousands. It has taken days for this administration to even come to grips with the fact that there is an oil spill. Obama dwadled and now we have a giant oil slick making landfall on American soil! This is truly becoming Obama's Katrina.

Laura Ingraham on her radio show today referred to the response by this white House to the spill in the Gulf as a "c.y.a. mentality". I think that sums it up perfectly. Rather than seek solutions to the problem the prez and all his lacky's seem to be trying to limit the political dmage this could cause him, and deflect criticism by the hard left of his enviromental policies.


Hey maybe Barack is even showing his racist side-after all he is half white ergo he must be half racist-Bush was called racist for supposedly ignoring the plight of blacks in New Orleans. Therefore Barack must be racist for ignoring the plight of white folks living along the coast.


Clearly-in my opinion- these twin disasters- point up a catastrophic lack of leadership by this pretender in the White House!

I found the video above at Stand by Liberty.org I love the men and women of our armed forces. I may rail against the abuses I perceive coming from Washington but you won't here me complain against our awesome people in uniform. Every day they get up put on their uniforms and guarantee to me and you the freedom we take for granted.

They however don't take it for granted. These young ,middleage, and even older heroes know the pain, blood and sacrifice that it takes to maintain our freedom. Freedom is one of God's greatest gifts to man and it takes blood, courage, and sacrifice to protect that freedom against the forces of evil in the world that lust to destroy our freedom. Our brave and committed service members give up their own freedom and give of themselves so that we can criticize, pontificate, and sometimes even make fools of ourselves.

A tale of two countries

This disturbing quote pretty much sums up the problem we have in America today. There are a large number of people in academia, the media, politics and everyday life who believe that America is to blame for the problems in this world today.

The quote above comes from one Daniel Flynn the author of "Why The Left Hates America".
Mr. Flynn goes on to ask the question "Is America really that bad?" and answers this question with the following..."It is if you accept the lies and propaganda from the anti-American Left in our own country. This dismal, distorted view of the greatest, freest nation in history comes from a Left who would rather idolize Ho Chi Minh and Fidel Castro than honor George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, who burn down businesses and destroy property to protest free markets, and who fight alongside radical terrorists rather than against them".

Here is the crux of our current trouble. One half of the people believe in the promise of America, the Constitution, and a democratic republican form of government that has done more to secure human freedom than any system in history. The other half want to destroy that system and start over again, preferably in a Marxist Leninist model!

Recently we have heard and,since today is the anniversary of the horrible attack against America in Oklahoma city,are going to here a lot about the dangers of violence from the far right!! Yet the left has been protesting violently against this country for years and their sympathizers in the mainstream media have rarely been critical of their actions. Indeed most often these left wing domestic terrorists have been held up by the media as heroes!!

I'm reminded of the lead up to the most recent Iraq war. The left took to the streets in droves often being quite strident in their denunciations of America, the war, and George Bush. These same folks openly called for the death of the President and even likened him to Hitler. And what was the response of media reporters at the time? Well some of them donned big smiles and marched in solidarity with these often anti-American, and sometimes violent leftist protesters.

Contrast this with the way ordinary, hardworking, rank and file Americans at tea party and pro gun protests have been portrayed by the neo marxists in the media and congress. No smiling journalists joining the protest here. Oh no these folks who love America,and are concerned for their freedom, are portrayed as enemies of the state who need to be silenced and intimidated into submission by the left.

We truly have become a house divided. A house divided by love for America, the Constitution, and individual freedom and a deep seated hatred of all things American and especially our heritage, traditions, and values.

Consider this quote..."a Left who would rather idolize Ho Chi Minh and Fidel Castro than honor George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, who burn down businesses and destroy property to protest free markets, and who fight alongside radical terrorists rather than against them.

For me this is the best illustration of my point. We have seen communist murderers like Che Guevara, Ho-Chi Mihn and Mao Tsi Tung portrayed as heroes by those on the not so extreme left. Most recently by displays of Che posters in Obama campaign headquarters and by members of the current White House staff who have claimed Mao as a  personal hero.

So I ask who are the real threat to America Americans who love this nation,  the Constitution, and the freedoms that made this country great or the leaders of the left who despise everything this country stands for?

Tea Partay America!! or What the hell is wrong with liberals

April 15 2010. Tax day in America and low and behold thousands, nay, tens of thousands of "Conservative" Americans took to the streets to vent their frustration with what many of us perceive as a government that has overstepped the boundaries of the Constitution, and ,is threatening the liberties that Americans have always held as sacred.

This is in a long standing tradition of American politics that dates back to the founding of the nation. Americans have, historically speaking, never been afraid to say what's on their mind.

During both Bush administrations, and especially in W's term, the left vented their anger against Bush and his policies in demonstration after demonstration across this land. At the time I always said I didn't agree with them but I respected their right to do it, and, would be willing to fight to allow them that right.

But what has been the response from the left to the Tea Party protesters. Well Tea Party'ers have been called terrorists, racists, and lord knows what ever else. For Gods sake CNN is even wringing it's hands wondering if so called limits on free speech have been breached! Where oh where was all the concern when the Libs were foaming at the mouth over Bush. Where was the concern when they openly called for the assassination of the President.

If today's conservative protesters were calling for the same outcome for Obama they would be arrested faster than you can say what? Furthermore there is the recurring drumbeat in the media that the Tea Party folk are filled with racism and hatred. Just yesterday I heard some person from California in a news report saying that what lies beneath the strong anti-government rhetoric is really latent racism, and hatred.

What a bunch of baloney. What lies beneath is a large portion of the American population that is angry at what they see as a government that has run amok!! These are people who still believe in the transcendent values of individual freedom, liberty, and responsibility, that the founders envisioned, and which have made this country the best place on the face of the Earth to live.

For years now leftist in our Universities, media, schools and elsewhere have been attacking these timeless virtues and they are astonished that their message has had so little effect on a large segment of the American populace.

What it all boils down to is that Libs believe in free speech for themselves, but conservative, or anyone else for that matter, who disagree with them, need to be silenced. That my friend is what is wrong with liberals. They are adherents to an orthodox religion and cannot brook ANY opposition to that orthodoxy!!!

As for me I say TEA PARTAY America!!! Let the new Conservative revolution begin!! AND where does it begin? In the hearts and minds of people who love freedom, and at the ballot box this November. No this will NOT be a violent revolution. But a revolution nonetheless it will be!!

Evidence of Liberal incitement to violence!

As a follow up to my previous post I'm doing something I have never done on this blog, republished the total work of another person. However I felt what this young man had to say was too important, as well as relevant, for what has been happening on the political scene of late, to be missed.

There are links in this article to a Glenn Beck video that is a MUST SEE for ANYONE who cares about the future of this country. Well without any more blather.... enjoy.

You may or may not have heard, but the far left and the drive by media are pushing a major narrative campaign in an attempt to paint the entire tea party movement as a fringe movement that uses violence and racism in its efforts. This effort is being orchestrated by left wing power brokers, and it’s a gross misrepresentation of what is really going on.


The campaign against us started over a few alleged isolated incidents after the health care vote. While these particular incidents are only a small fraction of what Congress deals with all year (do we even need to mention the death threats that Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and many on the right deal with every day?), we want to be clear in saying that we strongly oppose this type of behavior and we condemn the actions taken against Congress if they turn out to be factual.

There is something happening here, though, that we should all be mindful of. I believe this is being carefully planned. I believe we’re being set up, and this type of behavior is being provoked.

Yesterday, Glenn Beck had one of the most profound segments I’ve ever seen. This might be one of the most important videos of the year. I highly recommend you take the time to watch the video and put forth some serious thought about what Beck is saying.

I think Glenn Beck hits the nail on the head with this segment. There is something in motion that needs us to explode and lose control in order for it to work. We cannot let the people running this country to push us over the edge. We must remain cool, calm, and focused.

The other side uses violence against innocent people, not us. The other side is racist, not us. The other side is angry, intolerant and deceiving, not us.

We’re better than them. Let’s make sure we act like it.

Accusations of "Conservative Hate Speech" smacks of Liberal hypocrisy!

I think the picture say's it all. Even as I am writing this the liberal media machine, as well as libs in Congress, are getting their panties in a wad over the alleged hate speech of "Conservatives".

What has them in such a quandary is that since the healthcare disaster some ignorant and misguided people have made rude,vulgar, and outlandish statements and phone calls to some Democrats on Capitol Hill!

The Morning news casts were all up in arms over "death threats" and "hate-speech" being hurled by conservatives against those who supported the health care bill.

Whats really gotten their goat is that some folks in America don't agree with or like their heinous policies! By God how dare anyone defy Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, or Harry Reid!

Where was this same outrage when masses of people were calling for the assassination of George Bush? Where the hell is the outrage over pictures on the internet like the one I have posted here calling for the killing of Conservatives? Well guess what there was, and still is, none!!! The libs are gross hypocrites.

 Seems they just cannot tolerate anyone,or anything that has a different point of view and refuses to go along with their crap. It's interesting to do a Google search on "Liberal threats against Conservatives". Or "kill Republicans"

Yes folks it's perfectly all right for huge numbers of liberals to spew hate against Conservatives, but, let one or two crazies say something idiotic about libs and it's every conservative is a potential terrorist. It's time theses pansies manned up and get some balls and quit crying because somebody opposes them.

If Pelosi and company had paid  a little attention to the American people the frustration level in this country wouldn't  be so damned high. Folks are getting pissed off at what they see coming out of Washington, and a feeling of "I'm mad as hell and won't take it anymore" hangs heavy in the political air!

With all that said I join with minority leader Bohner's call for conservatives to vent their anger and frustration in positive ways such as becoming politically active. Mark Levin to the president and congress... It's about freedom stupid!

In the video on this page talk show host, and constitutional scholar, Mark Levin hits the nail on the head and explains why the American people detest the proposed health care plan, as well as, most everything else the current crowd of Democrats in congress are trying to do!

After seeing this video I thought the Dem's should be told "It's about freedom stupid!! On the talk shows this morning I heard a lot of hand wringing about this healthcare monstrosity. I listened as points were made about how the American people need this turkey whether they like it or not. Much hot air was expended talking about how Washington could regain the trust of the American people.

The libs and the talking heads don't get it. The people have come to loath and distrust the quacks in Washington because they have become arrogant, overbearing and obnoxious. At every turn we see what precious little of our freedom we have left being snatched away or threatened by a Congress and President who Mark Levin describes as not giving a damn about the Constitution.

Unfortunately I think he is right. These clowns care only about gaining more and more power to themselves and the obviously hold the American people in high contempt. Wake up Washington, and especially the Democrats in congress, change your ways or YOU WILL BE VOTED OUT! End of story.

Bottom line here is that we stand at a pivotal point in our history. Many of us believe this could well be the generation that loses the awesome gift of liberty, and that we may indeed one day tell our grandchildren wistfully of what it was, note was,like to live free!!

Stupid is as stupid does-Or how Nancy and Harry commited political suicide.

Yes stupid is as stupid does. Harry and Nancy aren't stupid people, but, their recent actions could certainly be characterized as stupid, at the best, and outrageous arrogance, at the worst!

Why you ask do I say this. Because of their recent insistence on using reconciliation to ram the pending health care legislation down the people's throat whether the people want it or not. And believe me the people DON'T want this turkey.

The bill at hand is in excess of 2000 pages, is incomprehensible, and represents an unprecedented grab for power by the federal government, as well as, a huge intrusion into the lives of ordinary Americans.

After a long spring and summer of discontent, protests and town hall meetings, some of which threatened to become violent, one would think that Harry and Nancy would have gotten the message. Apparently not!

There is however one problem facing Queen Nancy and Prince Harry. Defecting members of their own party. It appears that Democrats in congress did get the message and have little or no stomach for Reid and Pelosi's suicide mission. Well only time will tell, but, if these two insist on passing this over the will of the American People all one will be able to say is "stupid is as stupid does'!

Well it appears as though health care is all but dead. Pelosi, Reid and Obama may attempt reconciliation, but I rather doubt it. Even if they are stupid enough to go ahead and become political kamikazes,when the next Congress comes in they will quickly repeal whatever monstrosity that may be put in place .

With all that said I move on to the subject of this article, namely, the upcoming fight for "Cap and Trade" or as I prefer to call it "The kill the Golden Goose that is America Bill". So called because this country really is the goose that layed the golden egg. We have produced more wealth, more knowledge, and more innovation of every type, than any nation, empire or form of government in history.

Yet it seems to me that the liberal Democrats are hell bent on destroying the greatest economy the world has ever known! Consider the following...

We need to produce all the coal, coal shale, oil sand, and onshore, as well as, off shore drop of oil we can get. We need to build natural gas, coal fired, and nuclear power plants as quickly as we can.

Yet the cap and trade bill will virtually lock up every form of carbon based energy we have. At the same time the liberals, enviro-loonies, and far left Marxists of the Democrat party oppose every alternative form of energy except wind and solar,and in some camps of the left, they oppose even those.

These fools would have us believe that if we will all only cut back, chant ohm, ohm, ohm, and hold hands we can meditate ourselves out of our energy crisis. Hogwash!! If we continue in this way there will be brown outs, blackouts, and severe energy shortages, in our very near future.

It is being reported by the A.P. that the suburban school district of Merion P.A. has been spying on their students via school district issued laptops! What the hey is this 2010 or 1984??

It certainly gives new life to the above quote from Orwell's chilling vision of a future where the government had the power to hear and see everything a person might be doing. It appears that vision may have been more prophetic than Orwell ever dreamed.

Check out the line above where the line about them being able to "plug in your wire whenever they wanted to! Evidently this school district took this to heart as they turned on web cams installed on the laptops and spied on the students often times catching either the parents or students in "compromising" acts or positions.

For crying out loud these people could spy on their students as they dressed or undressed!! All this came to light after an assistant principle for the district called a student on the carpet and gave him the third degree for what was termed "engaging in improper behavior in his own home"!

This truly is an outrage Schools are supposed to be teaching children to be responsible citizens of a free country not the robotic subjects of a totalitarian state. So I ask once again is this 1984 or 2010? Starting to look scarily like 1984 to me! Time to stand up for freedom and take down tyranny!

How close are we to becoming a police state? In my previous post a gave a sketchy outline of a plan for a domestic Stability Police Force. The idea of this S.P.F. is alarming to me. I'm all for the rule of law, as well as , law and order.I believe the majority of our men and women in our police forces do a magnificent job and are to be praised for what they do. I think that some aspects of a stability police force might be desirable. We have places in this nation controlled by gangs and thugs that ought to be declared in armed insurrection against the government. But then the Army was intended to be used to put down rebellions against the government so I guess we really don't need an S.P.F.

What worries me is that in my lifetime -and especially in the last 20 years - I have witnessed a tremendous erosion of our liberties. take time to watch this video and you too may ask how close ARE we to becoming a police state?

On Dec 17, 2009 President Barack Obama signed an executive order that I believe, as well as many others smarter than me, that could give Interpol unrestricted authority in the interior of the United States. The E.O in question is an order to amend executive order 12425(read more) and it in essence gives Interpol a free hand to do as it will with total and absolute immunity from all U.S. law!!!

Add to this a Rand Report (read more) that concludes the need for a domestic security force to help put down domestic insurgents. The report calls for creation of a stability police force in order to control crowds, riots or persons involved in long term disturbances.I.E teapartyers perhaps. Because the Army can't be used because of Posse Comatatis laws. In essence this would be a paramilitary force to quell in possible rebellion inside the U.S.

As if this were not enough consider this conclusion drawn by the U.S Army war college...
The military must be prepared, the document warned, for a “violent, strategic dislocation inside the United States,” which could be provoked by “unforeseen economic collapse...The global economic crisis ... already looms as the most serious one in decades, if not in centuries ... Economic crises increase the risk of regime-threatening instability if they are prolonged for a one- or two-year period,".

To add insult to injury "O" is already on record as saying that economic crisis is a bigger threat than terrorism. Folks we have a president that seemingly-as Rush Limbaugh has drawn attention to-considers the American public an enemy

What I have just outlined is a bit scary and could be used as a basis to argue that Obama is a traitor to this country and has violated his Constitutional oath. My big question is why all this NOW? I fear that Barack and the Democrats may be so hungry for power and paranoid of losing it that they may well be willing to use an American stability force, in concert with an Interpol that is above any public scrutiny whatsoever in order to oppress and silence anyone who opposes or resists them!!

Americans think "that can't happen here". But folks it already is happening and may well lead to Obama becoming the last President of this country and becoming the first dictator of America!!

Limbaughs open letter to O hits the nail on the head

I'm a little late on this story but Rush Limbaugh's open letter to Mr. Obama seems to have hit the nail "squarely" on the head! I always get a kick out of listening to Rush. He's just so darned politically incorrect and for darn sure isn't afraid to speak what's really on his mind. Limbaugh's letter to "O" is no different.

Rush begins by pointing out O'Bama's seeming lack of focus. The way that he is just trying to do too many things all at once. He goes on to point out a truth that Berry seems to have forgotten that this country is,after all,a nation of the people by the people and for the people ruled by the Constitution and not the dictatorial whims of the "enlightened one"!

The great one continues to give sage advice to the President advising him to take responsibility for the situation at hand. To quit trying to shift the blame and actually govern. He also advises the President to turn away from the socialist program he has embarked on and reminds him that Saul Alinsky and other such radicals are not the founders of this nation.

Listen to this gem for yourself and I think you will agree that Mr. Limbaugh indeed hits the nail on the head!

America Is Going To Do It Again

"Americas going to do it again". What a great song by Charlie Daniels. It resonates from another day when our enemies -as well as the usual crowd on the left- had written America off and were convinced we had seen our best day's. It was a time much like now.

The economy was bad, the Soviet Union appeared invincible, and many were sure they would start a war to destroy us. We were fractured and torn by the aftermath of Watergate and the Vietnam War.But then something happened that changed the course of our history: the Iran hostage crisis. America came together in a new surge of patriotism. Ronald Reagan ran for President and tapped into this new surge of national unity,and, eventually became president.

Today we have a somewhat similar situation. Many on the left have said -once again- that our best days are behind us and we are going to have to accept a lower standard of living. Add to that the fact that the Democrats in the last election misread the will of the people and thought that conservatism is dead. James Carville even said that the Democrats would rule politics for the next sixty years.

Alas now as then the nay sayers are wrong. America has reawakened, the people are coming together, and it may well be that we are witnessing a resurgence of conservatism. I have really been buoyed by the recent republican and conservative victories in what are very very blue states.

This is a time ripe for a person with the vision for, and faith in., this country similar to that of Ronald Reagan. I believe that just as in the previous times of trial this nation will rise to the occasion. We will stand as one against those who would ridicule and mislead this nation. We will stand as one against the naysayers, our enemies, and a government that has gotten a bit arrogant. And just as we did then America will do it again!

A New American Revolution

A new American Revolution! That my friends is-what we are witnessing-a revolution akin to the one that swept Ronald Reagan into office.

On Jan 19 2010 Scott Brown became the first conservative elected to a Massachusetts senate seat in so long that a huge chunk of the population cannot remember a time when a Kennedy did not occupy the seat!
This was a stunning and impressive victory with huge implications for the nation. It represents the ongoing, and rapidly growing, disgust with Washington and the outright baloney they are trying to foist on the American people.

Browns victory represents the natural outcome of the town hall and tea party protests of the spring and summer of 2009! Indeed it is a bell weather of things to come for the Democrats and perhaps even some republicans in Congress. The message is clear ignore -and hold in contempt- the people at your own peril.

HA HA! I love it. Pelosi Reid and his highness B. Obama are now stymied in their attempt to cram socialised medicine down the throat of America. Serves theses arrogant s.o.b's right!

I for one am rooting whole heatedly for this new American Revolution and hope to see a whole lot more of the same come fall!!!! Ooh Rah!!!

The Kennedy Seat?

Here he is the "Lion of the Senate". O'l Teddy himself. I kind of miss Ted he was a liberal you could love to hate well his politics anyway not the person. Since his passing all the speculation has been if the Dems can retain the :Kennedy seat".

The Kennedy seat?! It drives me nuts every time someone in the liberal media refers to the Senate seat of the people of Massachusetts as the "Kennedy seat"! True it has been occupied by a Kennedy for nearly 60 years or longer. but the seat is the people's seat not the property of one family or political party.

I actually was surprised some one of the Kennedy clan didn't make a run for it. It was my feeling that at least one of them would think they had some hereditary right to it. I bet Ted is spinning in his grave at the prospect of a Republican taking his FORMER seat and quite possibly helping to stop the healthcare bill that Kennedy fought so hard for.

One can only hope that Scott Brown can succeed where so many others have failed and change the "Kennedy seat" into a Massachusetts seat occupied by a Republican!

Global Warming? HAH!

Well here's my first post of the new year. The final installment in a three part series on global warming. As I write this it is near zero or even below, and ,is some of the coldest weather we have had for some time. I can't help but think global warming? Hah!

Since globalwarminggate I have done a little research on this subject and have learned that the weather seems to follow a 30 year pattern oscillating from warm to cold. It seems to me we are going back into a period of cooling as has been mentioned in the previous articles. I may be wrong but I'm willing to bet we have more colder winters ahead.

Yet Al Gore and his Democrat allies in congress are still talking about pushing a Cap and Tax bill through Congress in spite of the fact that more and more people don't want it. This shows the obstinate and arrogant character of Gore and company. In the wake of Climategate they are like this ice trapped on a spiders web. They have been undone by their own web of lies, half truths, and propaganda.

The last two or three summers here in my neck of the woods have been unusually cool and now it seems the winters are poised to become colder too. To which I once again say "global warming? Hah!!

The Climate Change House of Cards Part 2

In an article from Capitalism Magazine entitled "We'd Better Be Right on Climate Science" former Astronaut and and Harvard trained geologist makes the following statement...

"Where is all the carbon dioxide produced by burning of fossil fuels? Geoscientists have long known that atmospheric carbon dioxide cycles through the oceans every five to 10 years, not every 200 years as claimed by the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Furthermore, for every fossil-fuel carbon dioxide molecule added to the atmosphere, the ocean eventually soaks up about 50 carbon dioxide molecules. These observational facts mean we cannot cause the ballyhooed doomsday assumption of a “doubling of atmospheric carbon dioxide.”

Here's another shining example of how people have been lied to by the advocates of global warming as a fact. They claim that we are pumping all this carbon into the environment that stays there for years, thereby changing the climate.

The global warming crowd is playing on the ignorance of most people about real science. Note the part that says "Geoscientists have long known" that carbon is eliminated by our environment every five to ten years. That's not even taking into account the tons of carbon that gets locked up in every plant, tree, and shrub that grows and lives on Mother Earth.

We've been told that carbon is a pollutant! How in the heck can people swallow this tripe. Hell carbon -as we were all taught in elementary school- is a building block of all life. You would think the green crowd would welcome more carbon as it actually leads to increased growth of trees and such. Further more people and animals can survive some pretty warm temperatures. But just a small drop in temperature can kill us real quick.

I suspect there is more of an anti-capitalist- agenda a foot here. Why are they in such an hysterical rush to push through rules and regulations that will severely effect the economies of the industrialized world? It seems to me that what may be happening is the global elite want to live like kings while we-the ignorant unwashed- will be reduced to serfs and slaves.

GLobal warming house of cards begins to collapse

Since the release of the climate change e-mails that lead to what is being called "Climategate" there has been a great deal of debate and discussion regarding what I believe is a complete scam. I have always thought that changes in climate are cyclical, and, that it is the height of human arrogance, to think we have drastically altered the weather of an entire planet . It appears to me that the case for global warming is a house of cards.

Well seems that house may be about to collapse. The video above gives some powerful evidence to contradict the so called science behind global warming. In addition consider this quote from http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8299079.stm ...

It looks as though we may be entering a cycle similar to the last cooling cycle that happened from 1945 until 1977. consider also this report from "ICECAP" ...

"Edmonton’s weather boasted two dubious distinctions Sunday: it was colder here than anywhere else in North America and it marked the coldest Dec. 13 in the city’s history. Environment Canada recorded a frigid minus 46.1 C (-51F), or minus 58.4 C with the wind chill, at the Edmonton International Airport at 5 a.m., said meteorologist Pierre Lessard. The old record of minus 36.1 C was set last year. "

Wow! Fifty one degrees below zero!!! I know that is a part of the world that has extreme cold, but according to the article even the locals were taken aback by the record cold. In addition globally over the last few years record lows have been recorded in both the northern and southern hemisphere.

This is just the first installment of an extensive look into the topic of global climate change. But it looks right now that the Global warming house of cards is indeed beginning to collapse.

Just War, Barack Obama and George Bush

I was astounded when I read President Obama's address to the Nobel Committee in Oslo. If one closed their eyes and had that speech read to them one could easily surmise that it had been given by George Bush, or even, Ronald Reagan.

What a change has been wrought in so short a time. A little over a year ago this man was excoriating George Bush for being a war monger. The left had ragged on the war in Iraq, and whined about, the war in Afghanistan endlessly. Bush was an evil comparable to Hitler because he had lead us into "never ending war".

In those days the theory of "just war" was given little credence.

My how times have changed. Gone are the day's of Cindy Sheehan-who by the way- got arrested for protesting war in front of Obama's White House but was never arrested for picketing Bush's Crawford ranch. No now that we have a Democrat as President war has become-dare one say it- fashionable. Where has the outrage of our soldiers supposedly "terrorizing citizens gone? What has happened to the voices of Murtha and Kerry calling for an immediate withdrawal from conflict? They have gone silent.

I applaud the sentiment of the president's message. I think he was "spot on ". I do however question his new found faith in the theory of "just war". I did a paper in seminary about just war, and used what I had learned to justify our invasion of Iraq. Just war says that if the outcome of war is to end a greater evil, then the evil of war itself is justified. If war is fought to end human suffering, and help improve the lives of all. then war is just. I believed that when we invaded Iraq and I believe it now.

For all intents and purposes George Bush could have given this speech. I fear that what we have heard may not be true conviction, like it was with George Bush, but rather cynical demagoguery!

Muslims killing Christians by the score and nobody cares!

Here's something you WILL NOT SEE in the mainstream media-or for that matter probably not on Fox-the dirty little secret that Muslims are practicing "Ethnic Cleansing", not only in Palestine, but all over the world.

Today in the western world we are being told we must be tolerant of Islam, we must not offend them, and in Canada, Australia,and England to name a few, if one has the temerity to speak out against the false religion that is Islam you will likely be charged with a hate crime.

Yet on a daily basis, all over the world, the Muslim constantly offends, brutalizes, and kills Christians and nobody seems to even notice let alone care. We have been told since Sept.11 that Islam is a religion of peace! Hah! Nothing could be further from the truth. The word Islam means "submission" and,that is exactly what they aim to do, to make all people everywhere submit to Islam by any means necessary.

This barely scratches the surface of the offenses of Islam against any one who disagree with them. Al over the world-and indeed in the U.N. itself- Muslims are-under the guise of tolerance and hate crimes- getting legislation passed that basically institutionalizes Sharia prohibitions against blasphemy i.e. speaking out against Islam.

Do a google search on "Christians arrested for hate speech against Muslims" and see what you find. This is nothing more than a concerted effort by Islamicists to force de-facto sharia law on the world.

I have this to say"That at the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord". Further more I confess that Jesus Christ IS the Son of God and in fact is God Incarnate. Well appears I just committed a hate crime! Give me a break!

Oh by the way speak out against the Muslim murder of Christians, and their attempted murder, of Christianity. They are the true perpetrators of hate and intolerance!!!!

An Inconvenient Truth Against Al Gore

An inconvenient truth. An inconvenient truth that I'm sure Al Gore wishes would just go away. The mainstream news media has totally ignored this truth. However the people haven't. And what is this truth? Non other than damning e-mails that expose the out right FRAUD that is so-called "global warming science"!!

In the last couple of years I have read in various places that data was being manipulated, reports suppressed, and true science being ignored. On this blog I even shared about an EPA scientist having his report suppressed. But now we have a true smoking gun.

And yet Al Gore arrogantly refuses to listen when someone challenges his lie to his face. In fact-as the above video shows- he even has goons to remove anyone from his presence who would dare question the great Al Gore. Whats worse is that the media and even ordinary people keep parroting the propaganda even as they turn a blind eye to the E-mail revelations.

What about our folks in Congress? Well the Democrats appear to think the important thing here is a criminal investigation into who hacked these e-mails. Whats up with that? I would think that they might be outraged and want an investigation into what the global warming scientists have been -and still are-trying to foist upon the entire world.

In an article intitled "Lefty Indignation" news buster's Jeff Poor relates the story of how Rolling Stone political reporter Matt Taibbi reacted to the now infamous White House party crashers Tareq and Michael Salahi's visit to Mr. Obama's first state dinner.

And I quote:

"Right, right - I think we should bring back public executions or, you know, drawing and quartering, something like that," Taibbi said. "I mean, just, you know, send the message with this kind of thing. I mean, because obviously they're going to get off with some kind of mild fine or, you know, it's going to be talked away. I think they have to do something very serious to these people. Those were pretty good entertainment."

Wow public execution, drawing and quartering? Come on is this guy serious. Sure maybe Tareq and his wife acted improperly-although as I write this today there is a good case to be made that maybe they were invited- does this indiscretion rise to the level of execution, let alone. drawing and quartering? How barbaric is that?!! And whats more he likens this barbaric behaviour -like drawing and quartering- to entertainment!!!

Now last time I checked Rolling Stone Magazine was pretty darned liberal. Weren't these the same people who were having puppies and kittens because we water boarded a real threat like Kahlid Sheihk Mohammad? Yes Ronald Wilson Reagan had an acute awareness of just how special America is. America is an anomaly in the course of history. It's a place where anyone can achieve their full potential. Nothing can hold a person back other than their self. Well at least that used to be true.

Now we have a President that constantly apologizes for America rather than extolling her virtues. We have a almost treasonous Congress and President that have more in common with Lenin,Marx and Engels than with George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton.

We have a young populace who more and more do not know the true history of this nation. An increasing number of people who have grown up in an educational system that teaches hatred of America rather than love of country.

Listen well to the words of President Reagan for I fear we are nearing a tipping point where a generation that doesn't appreciate what they have may well vote away their freedom and only too late will realize just how special America really is!
